2/3 dogs who know the score will take them and get them under control and make it look quiet easy in the end, the damage comes with dogs that are 1/2 hearted and owners that are or like everything you come across the odd bad arse ,but 8/10 their no big deal with dogs and handlers that know the score ,once sighted on any ground (along as their with in 100m )they shouldn't go 300m ,vests are a must for the smashing the dogs get once made contact but more so for protection from the trees etc when holding on to the boar and getting him under control the bloke who told me all this could of been a

Fairplay! Good job your taking that x-bow to france to do them, as I think shooting them with a bow here is illegal. Shame really. To be honest, I'm not sure why folk want to wrestle them with lurchers, a couple or three bayers and a pistol and bobs your mothers brother. Everyones different some like their dogs to tackle whats in front of them,Why use a pistol; ? ,bloke i use to lamp with, use to say that about bucks only because his dogs wouldn't tackle them

You seen a lot of them? Amazing how much folk talk about them on here, and a lot of the time I do wonder if they have ever actually seen / hunted them. . . . . Edited to add - If I didn't have a full kennels, and the litter turned out to be what was said, i'd seriously consider giving one a try. Do they have a decent voice? Thats the same with everything on here ,lot of people do stuff thou and don't advertise it

All we can do is hope ,if the PM says he will give a free vote then there's a chance or we can turn this into an argument and slagging match ,however small a chance we got to run with it............................ glass is half full not half empty

All I meant is that pups bred from a pure MIGHT be found wanting. The way I see it, why have a pup that is only 50% tested blood in it's background, when you can have a pup that has 100% tested background. Just my take on it. We all have our own ideas.... Best of both worlds, to get 100% working blood in a genuine first cross use a well tested greyhound! Out of curiosity jonathan and i dont know the answer but do you think or maybe know if the offspring off a fenn type saluki hybred to a lurcher would be as quick as those pups off a well worked and competed greyhound over the same lurcher??

What does a greyhound offer that a well bred 5th Gen coursing dog doesn't ? I have 5th Gen bull x crossed with a well bred coursing line which ticks all the boxes for me on everything (legal of course )
