Its you So your saying most people are are still at it and happy bolting baby rabbits, and digging like a JCB every bury they do. I have had better fun than that when ferreting. My heart sinks every year when I bolt a tiddler and wiping out next years sport. Just asking what is the rush in breeding her when she as just had the season under the belt???? She has shown me end of last season and the whole of this she has all I want in a ferreting dog and my old boy shows many of the same qualitys therefore I can breed from two dogs I know. I also have a six month Collie grey that will be used mainly lamping and bigger things. If I breed her know she can be spayed and come Dec when she has her next season I won't have a year old lurcher knocking walls down to get to her. I have a couple of people say they want a pup just wondered if anyone on h -
Ferrets were domesitcated due to the fact they are natural hunters, same as dogs. They made catching rabbits to put on the plate much easier. Seeing as there was plenty of rabbit, may as well feed the ferrets on it too. Convenient and easy. No proof whatsoever that ferrets lived soley on rabbits when they were originally wild. CAN I JUST POINT OUT THAT PRE-MIXI IN THE EARLY 1950's RABBITS WERE A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH A PRICE ON THEIR SCUTT,BUT FERRETS WERE FED ON AND SURVIVED ON A BREAD AND MILK DIET As obligate carnivores, bread, soya milk and veg has no nutritional value to ferrets at all

You've not had whippets 2 minutes Gallagher and you think you know it all, you couldn't even make a name for yourself in coursing the scene with your saluki crosses, all you are trying to do is BIG UP your stud dog sonny. Most of the forums you go on you spoil the topics with your tunnel vision and lies. Not everyone is out to make a name for themselves, but breeding a Forley Cup winner isn't a bad place to start in the coursing world.
