A combination of partial dominance and dilution genes. I'm pretty convinced that albinism in ferrets isn't as simple as the monohybrid crosses you describe, mainly down to how common it is. Far more so than in most animals. I suspect that colour in ferrets is down to several genes.

Why couldn't it be an albino? They occur in just about every species.

Tom, it's the nature of forums. Especially on the General forum, people treat it like a conversation in the pub. How often do they stay on topic? Do you need oxygen on that soap-box, mate?

League has always had real difficulty in breaking out of the regional heartland of Lancs/Yorks. A shame, because it's a good sport to watch, plenty of running, hard tackles and skill. Union going pro didn't help.....
