  1. Got me on that one, mate I saw a big turtle at the Sealife centre in Birmingham. The aquarium it was in was enormous, with a transparent tunnel through it you walk through. Magnificent animals
  2. Sounds to me that both Quixote and Coneytrapper are coming from the same direction: respect and care for the ferret. I particularly agree with quixotes' comment about unplanned/thoughtless breeding. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

    Pigeons ??

A couple of months ago you gave away a ferret because you didn't have time for it, because you had a pup. Now you've got racing pigeons. Christ lad, you're a bloody shambles
  4. They can try that with me if they want. Need full NBC gear though......

They do a good job. As Mal said, with most dodgy posts/threads they're damned if they do, and damned if they don't.
  6. I think they were hoping for some pictures of you in it all for w a n k i n g material.................
  7. Is there any way of setting a browser to simply print off any topic with certain 'buzzwords' in it? Not sure there has to be anyone at the controls if you can.
  8. I don't 'bat for the opposition' and I'm not worried either. Mainly because if I ever DO stray outside the law I ain't going to plaster evidence of that wrongdoing all over an open forum. People that are stupid enough to do so might have cause to worry though......
  9. That sort of backs up my hobby horse that line breeding is a waste of time, and that any ferret could be a 'good worker'. Heard other examples of rescue ferrets doing well. As for what you can get for a kit: as much as the buyer is willing to pay is the short answer to that one. If you can find someone to pay £20 then good luck to you, but there's going to the usual rush of kits 'free to a good home' any time now, so you'd better get in quick.
  10. Looks like a fall arrest device to me too. I had summat similar when I lived near Sheffield and had no-one to go climbing with, and fancied doing something harder than my soloing grade.
  11. Slight problem there, FSH.....

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8022583.stm You been on gthe Baked Beans again, Sean?
  14. Quite right on both points, although I think you'll find the second one is itself a guess/assumption.... I tend towards the feeling that 'self-praise is no praise'. I.e. those that have to tell us they're 'hard' might not be as hard as they think they are. Lets face it, in CyberWorld there's very little chance of anyone finding out, as long as they're careful.....
  15. If you read some of the posts on this forum, it's a pretty reasonable assumption. Any situation that's posted that is even a little confontational, for example arsy farmers, troublesome neighbours etc etc, and the same little army of teenage wannabe 'hard men' come trotting out with the same comments: 'if it was me I'd deck the c**t'.....or words to that effect. Talk about 'pre-ban' or 'big bunnies'. Fools no-one. It's not that hard to feel superior to people that think such nonsense is either impressive or fools people.
  16. Spelt wrong OK, let's try again.... 'perygl' Bugger it, I can't spell English some days....
  17. Pergyl Or if it's a total bitch call it Brunstrom
  18. Aye, right there mate. Bostin fish
  19. I used to be very anti-breeding, but as someone famous (whose name eludes me) said: 'as the facts change so my opinions change'. That was part of the reaon for joining THL, to get the other side. I still can't see why it's neccessary for some to breed from more than one jill, or breed every year, but I've certainly moderated my opinions on breeding after reading some of the more responsible posters on here.
  20. There's two sides at least to this. Breeding for own use, with decent homes booked in for all the potential kits: no problem. Breeding because you're too idle/tightfisted/stupid to bring a jill out of season any other way, and the situation is rather different. And that's without bringing in the old debate as to whether ferreting ability in ferrets is inherited or not.....
  21. Hellers, RaiderBoy.....that's worse than getting hammered off the next peg Nice fish, rocko
