  1. sounds just like our emmy does your girl i tried get her some nice green wellies last wk end the 1s with little straps at the side but no she wanted bright pink peppa pig 1s so iam screwed foe a while now till she grows out of them mines 2 an half year old and full of it mate Katelyn is starting to talk, and babbles and chatters constantly, can't always get the words but lets you know exactly what she wants, and NOW!! no patience at all. Pink wellies ok for now, but we phase the out as she get's older haha only the wife wears pink ones too.
  2. Dont blame you, remember that time, knowing it was a girl. Only thing was she slept in for 3 weeks over time. Dont sleep in now though, mind you. If I remember right too my wife was getting to the end of her tether waiting so we took the dogs out for a stroll, and she had the start of her contractions up in that same field. Talking about it makes me think of having more.
  3. Some nice pics there. Good stuff seeing the young uns getting stuck in. Really looking forward to her coming ferreting too. She has her own rabbit and guinea pig in the garden and hens. Ther is nothing better than seeing the kids happy, and happy being out hunting, walking or just getting messy. wee Katelyn "bug" would be out all day if she could. Nosy, bossy forward full of laughs, and the looks she gives when something is new, which is everything, is amazing. The dog went running past her and she burst into a fit of giggles. Kids definately make everything so much better.
  4. Great pic, can't wait till she gets her first rabbit too, makes your heart glow getting them out. My wee girl loves being outside, and is so bossy too. Dogs won't know what hit them haha Hopefully getting new pup in towards christmas time, so she's got a new friens for next summer.
  5. My wee girl is 20 months and have been looking forward to this day since she was born, have better pics but to big to upload. Dad says theres rabbits out ther some place
  6. My wife is badly asthmatic and on the ventolin (big blue) inhaler and seretide. Every so often the doctor or the chemist just decides she is getting the we blue crappy (salbutamol) cfc free. She says same thing, no good and tastes like cheap vodka. have to complain at chemists or get quack appointment to get it changed. We are in northern ireland too, and the chemists in maghera do stock them (ventolin) it's alliance pharmacy. Always make sure she is on the good ones, CHEAP ones nearly always land a hospital visit, or emergency doc.
  7. never fished for them but always took it that a heavy version of a coarse float setup was the job, bread as bait in harbours, or worms. If it's a harbour you are fishing watch for the shoals patrolling a route. Saw a youngster spinning in a harbour one day, the mullet were swimming a route and he flicked the spinner through the shoal when they passed. Thibk you can groundbait for them too, onion sack filled with breadcrumb and fish guts oil etc and tie a ope to the sack and throw it in near you and flot the bait through it. This would work from rocks or harbour. Look into what nat
  8. Wee fella is a little banged up, the hen who hatched them give hin a pecking and took off a load of feathers. Hen is being rehomed because she keeps doing it. Been a good bird since I got her but this is no good to me. Good layer, broody and rearer just to much for me. Happy to swap for a chick or a layer.
  9. Same as oldskool, smaller fields and hedgerows for me. Maybe up on the mountains is more open, but not easy ground.
  10. Having to move on one of my hens. Good layer, goes broody well and raises chicks well. She has just started laying after rearing a clutch of chicks up. Lays a good sized egg. Only reason she is going is she has battered one of my other hens and I am still getting that's health back, started to give my minorca a hard time and staring on the chicks today. Was never any trouble until she hatched chicks, and I know it will likely settle down but I don't have the time to bugger about with it. Only got hens for eggs for my nipper growing up. Will likely go broody again soon and does rear
  11. Have seen a few too. Chucks in garden aren't complaining.
  12. Anyone else got photos of smaller terriers?
  13. Thanks, have to ring the blacksmith welding place in the town. Won't it rust if not galvanized? Suppose if it's cheap enough don't matter.
  14. Good job, Would you mind me asking where you got your wire from. Trying to build a run and the local hardware store quoted me a bit high for mesh. Nice dog too.
  15. Was in similar situation, but with zebra finches, parents got out. Got them fed and reared ok, weird seeing hand tame zebra. Had trouble with weaning and lost them all over a weekend. How's the budgie doing?
  16. Not a cross, all birds are penned by breed in trio. Unless the parents are crossed and he didnt know. Colour to the feathers isn't uniform some yellowy feathers to it. Only chicken place I have used is backyard chickens, but thats an american site. will look into that one though. It's my first chicken clutch so I am not up on id ing them yet, and they were a lucky dip clutch. Still only want a couple of sebrights though haha
  17. Good luck, and good on you for taking it on. Will be a lovely pet when done.
  18. Hope to find out soon. Was a ferreting dog, started to go to ground so retired her until we know what she can do. Only wee about 10" tts ish
  19. Its possible to hand rear. You'll need the food and a syringe, with no needle smallest you can get. Feed every couple of hours day and night, clean well after each feed. Keep bird warm too, under a lamp. First few weeks will be tough. Look into it on net as loads of people could give you more details.
  20. Will get the breeder to look too, only lavenders he had was belgians or the dutch throwing up. Know it's not belgian, Single comb on it.
  21. Aye Ko shamo, this is the result of the clutch I had your advise about. The belgian I think is a cock, the lavenderish one is dutch, and a cock again I think. From a trio of whites, but the breeder had suspected they weren't 100% pure. The cuckoo I am sure is a java as that's the only breed he has this colour, but don't know sex.
