    Finally got my season under way last week at the tail end of that Huricaine. My truck has been of the road for a few weeks and is in the garage. All my lamps are in the truck....I was over speaking to the mechanic about getting it sorted and forgot to pick the lamp up. Anyway asked the Mrs to pick it up for me when I was at work and she said she'd try I had been watching the trees bend back all day and was looking forward to getting out with the dog.     Back looking for Kingfishers today and came across this fella perched on a branch. He was very obliging and let me ge to within 30yrds or so and sat there watching me clicking away. Light was very poor so excuse the quality.

    Like any other part of hunting there's an art to trapping. Like the man said it's not always practical to have a dog, gun, ferret or lamp, very efficient way of catching game or vermin.

    Ok there's a lot of assumptions being made about the topic starters dog. How anyone can comment without having seen the dog in the flesh...well it's typical of this site. Anyways there's also a bit mischeif making on the part of Whin I would suggest. He wasn't that thougher when he lined his collie bitch with keano' old war horse Gripper. Granted the old fellah was the real deal but Whin only had Keano's word on that. To further compound things Whin threw his young dog over the bitch as Gripper was taking to long to do the deed.
