Hi mate ,the two sprung hatches are so that you can effectively catch two magpies,the centre section is for the call bird which must have food and water and the trap must be checked regularly.I think the traps have to be registered and have a unique number now but not sure perhaps someone in the know can elaborate on that for you.The dowels must be long enough to hold the door open and should be cut so that they give way under the weight of the magpie as it lands on the dowel hence springing the trap. Hope this helps mate

I had a Rapid 7 mate and the buddy bottles did heat a bit when filled, I think the bottles should be filled slowly this reduces the heat build up,Hope this helps mate.

Guys you both say that it is bad practice to take head and neck shots then you both say that you are guilty of bad practice, I do understand that you both have your dmq's and that at least one of you are a registered accredited witness who acompanies stalkers for thier level two certification,this just adds weight to my argument against compulsory testing ,It seems that the dmq's are just a "do as I say not as I do" culture designed to extort cash from people,I have spoken to various MP's and MSP's etc and have made them aware of my concerns as have many other stalkers and most recently I have

Any pics mate ,sounds like a magpie trap heres a pic I found of what you describe the two perches are split so that when the magpie lands on them they collapse and the door closes on its spring the centre is for housing the call bird

Hi mate ,theres a guy round my area that trades as The clutch man and he certainly knows his stuff and he arrived at 0800 and was gone by 1200 after fitting a clutch and a second hand gearbox to my sons 206 gearbox was £ from the scrap yard and the labour including clutch kit was only £100.Theres not much you can do to help as I asked the guy that done ours.
