  1. Hi All, i am using a LEE 4 position reloading press, and generally its a great piece of kit for the money only gripe i have is that when i am depriming the cases the old primers pop out and go in all directions there doesen,t seem to be any method to collect or direct them into same area misses getting a bit pissed off with picking them up in cleaner. Am i doing something wrong Cheers LD ps MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL
  2. Hi mate, not so long ago i asked the same question and had a lot of help And advice from the guys on this forum anyway i eventually went for the .223, purely because of a greater variation in loads and bullet weights, factory round availability and of course ( being Welsh ) cost Don,t think Theres a lot of difference in these calibres as a fox round, but due to the fact you won,t be reloading, in my opinion .223 would be best option.Forgot to mention , i use a Howa 1500 series great bit of kit !! LD
  3. .223 too much gun for rabbits, .17 hmr not enough gun for longer range foxes .22 hornet good on rabbits to 250 yds and does fox out to 150 to 200yds very quiet when moderated, no noticable recoil, cheap and easy to reload LD
  4. Looking to get a sound mod for my .223, any one used the PES large can mod ( or MAE ) seen it advertised on JMS site, wondered if anyone used one?,are they any good Cheers LD
  5. Good stuff, watch you dont get it dirty now LD Let us know how it goes.....
  6. In my experience you wont go far wrong with a Webley and Scott 810 semi. You'll be able to pick them up pretty cheap second hand-probably round the £280-£300 mark. Do a google search on them-never had any problems with mine. Same here, had one for three years excellent value for money Also proofed for magnum / steel loads LD
  7. THE THINGS WE DO IN THE NAME OF SPORT, OR PEST CONTROL :black eye: :black eye:
  8. Going to try some 35 & 40 gn heads in my .223, heard that N120 is good for lighter rounds, speeds up to 3900ft/sec. anyone with info please. LD

  12. HI ALL, Looking to get a stock cover/ bullet holder for my .223, seen quite a few on e-bay but are all designed for right handed shooters, anyone know where i can get one for a lefty. Cheers LD
  13. Just a few shots at this 6 mm steel plate target, distance was 185 yds, the bigger holes were made by PPU 55gn factory loads, next size down were made by homeloaded 55gn Sierra soft points, and the two that did not go through were 50gn V Max ( the two holes on top right and one bottom right are not bullet holes )just goes to show the energy these rounds have LD
  14. HI Mate any pics , why you selling after only a month!! LD
  15. thaught the rounds used for this were actually called Gallery roundsand are a down loaded version of the .22 rim,Nt sure but i think subs would be far too powerfull / dangerous to use on stalls... LD
  16. Hi mate, do you know if these mods are any good for .22 rimmy, and if A & M produce mods for full bore rifles ie .223 rem Cheers LD

  21. Had my webley 800s s/a for about three years, probably fired over 3000 rounds through it-no problems at all :notworthy. came with interchangeable chokes & proofed for magnum loads and steel shot. Ideal all round gun, at a good price Just my opinion of course LD
