  1. I disagree mate, have you ever tried to handle a captured squirrel from a live catch trap,NOT the easiest way of putting your hand in to grab hold of is it. take it to a vet and get charged £70 not a good idea put a slug in its head probably a better option any way I can see this rumbling on
  2. Dont know if anyone else has seen this but in the daily mail a man caught a grey squirrel and found the easiest way to kill it, was to drown it,someone grassed on him and he now has a criminal record and fined £1500 heres the Link story what are your thoughts ......
  3. I would have to say the longnet its the most quickest silent discreet way of catching any number of rabbits,I have ever seen This longnet in the right hands is deadly. I would put the snare as second best its silent,camoflaged and discrete, if set by experiened poachers. and thirdly a good lurcher with a good nose and an experienced dogman. I have been making Larsen traps,having borrowed 1 from the local keeper,I decided to make a copy of his trap,I sourced the wood and managed to get a roll of wire fence netting all the screws and other odds and sods. anyway after completing the making of the Larsen,I bought the springs from a source that sells traps etc..only to find after a month or 2 the springs were weak and unreliable. Having asked a few people from different sites I have been recommended to get them from Fourteen acre,anyway after ordering them friday I got them on saturday morning,Fantastic service and excellent

Thanks for the reply edgar, but due to it already being a short barrel when manufactured,being the k model and the alteration that has been done again to shorten it ,It would make a great deal of difference to the distance when firingand for my intended project. thanks again for your offer akton
  16. TALPEX FOR ME EVERYTIME, Have used duffus without much success, compared to the Talpex and use quite alot of the fenns. just down to personal preference I suppose.

  20. I use anything that I can get my hands on especially crab meat or cockles seems that the smellier the better as mink will always investigate anything new in the area.

  22. Same here mate,I have had more catches with Talpex and fenn traps than with the duffus type but as with anything you have to keep trying.

    there a waste of time,many of them that are available are cheap nasty copies,If I were you save your money and get one of these mini digger they are light easy to carry and are guaranteed
