I had such a dog in 1978 Miller he was called. Bred out of a 3/4 Greyhound 1/4 collie bitch sired by an open race dog. Hell of a good dog killed plenty of daytime hares and lots of game on the lamp. I put him over a good Greyhound bitch i had aswell and kept a couple of pups for myself, so they where 15/16 greyhound 1/16 collie and where also good Hare dogs.

A mate has 3 Whippet dog pups for sale they are 14 weeks old and they are in Cheshire. I dont know anything else about them but if your interested ring 01606552373.

jesus christ i hate this crack anybody who runs there dogs at game before there atleast a year old are f****n wankers ur going to turn them to shite well whether you agree with other peoples methods of entering pups or not is neither here nor there, this thread is for people to post pictures of their whippet / greyhounds and very nice they are too. I wouldnt have a dog without saluki blood in it. Infact saluki, greyhound and whippet are really the only breeds i want in my dogs anything else that is there is incidental and certainly not by my design.

someone i know had one of these twenty odd years ago and it was an excellent pot filler, killed plenty of hares but he hunted them up and killed them before they really got going. he was a bit of a pain for fighting to as i recall.

A lot of what Kate has to say is quite right, although he or she,s style of writing is perhaps not to everyones taste. Why should people have rescue dogs foisted on them if they dont particularly want such a dog? Fine if you feel this type of animal is for you go for it however let others choose what they want, it isnt difficult !!! The statement about using emotive terms aswell is right "adoption", "guardian" etc is designed to break our resistance down and that of the general public so that it makes it easier to legislate against. Decieving, he looks like he may have a fair turn of speed. Funny old game breeding hare dogs! its not always the best hare killers that produce the good progeny, although you would want both parents to be able to do the job.

Trouble is using two first crosses the pups can throw right to the collie, i would make sure by putting speed in.

I have lost two terriers on different occasions through suffocation, and a friend had an 18 month old lakeland type that was so badly damaged by a fox on a shelf that it was incapable of working again. All 25 yrs or so ago.
