  12. we were walking a field yesterday morning at 7:30, the frost was very sharp and the grass was white over. Suddenly a little bird jumped up in front of my mate and tried to fly away. I dont know whether the cold or hunger had made it weak but this poor little critter couldnt fly so we caught it up and took it back to the car...after an hour to warm up it was bouncing and so we released it....one lucky bird...i think it was a meadow pipit.....JD
  13. i spotted there the other day...wonder what was going on here?
  14. Hi Chilli, when i say "attack" i mean raking its head up and down in an attempt to stick the dog..., of course, if the dog let go then the munty would not follow up its assault...at the end of the day, its the dog that goes looking for a ruck..and it sometimes gets it
  15. Chilli, from what i have seen i would say that a munty does attack when the dog grabs it...of course, they wouldnt attack if unprovoced, but they want to slice the dog when they are captured....i try and get there ASAP...once a dog has been sliced by one im sure they know what to exppect and will go into the fray very hard,,good hunting....JD
