there are plenty of roe off the carrigeway from newark heading towards lincoln seen twelve together this morning in one field about thirty yards from a wood and another 4 together a few fields away on the way to work just before 8 all were doe's is Newark in lincolnshire?????? :whistle: Of late, i have seen the odd roe over sleaford end. , but they have not made a substancial impact in the county as opposed to surrounding areas. i presume they will be heading north from cambridgeshire and south from the doncaster area.

he was hit by a car mate. outside my house of all places. he had his heart ripped off of its mounting on the sturnum, punctured a lung, ripped his spleen, badly ruptured his liver and both his kidneys were so badly damaged that they looked like bags of blood. the dog lost so much blood that he should have been dead, and the vet told me that there was very very little chance of the dog making it But you just gotta try, and i know he is not the best dog in the world, but he is my dog and while there was a breath in his body i wasnt going to give in. Had a sly mooch with scoob this afternoon. this is the first time i have had him out shooting since his accident and he is very unfit, but hopefully after a month of constant use he may just get his shape back a little. We walked all over but never saw anything, but i spotted a well used drey that was obviously an old maggies nest and i gave it a shake. I have done a large amount of hunting around that area and i have never seen a roe. Seen and killed a good few fallow though and this is what the deer will probably be. Roe are quite scarce in lincolnshire, and are only making a small presence in the county from what i have seen and heard.

The snowdrops have just started dying back. saw 4 hares spinning around in a circle with each other last week.Heard a yellowhammer singing for the first time too this week.
