To be honest, i really enjoyed that little film. Top class guys, well done.
  3. Some dogs will kill a fox....others will kill foxes......after the first, then the journey really starts.....especially so if the lurcher has to go to work on his own until the job is done. (historically speaking of course)
  4. cos i got offered a good price. and i had about 7 guns on at that time:D
  5. Its a lovelly gun mate. i used to own one too.
  6. welll guys i happen to know the pic of the lass at the start of the clip was the face of someone at the end of her life ....heroin had f****d her up....the police in the USA had a snapshot of her degenerating into a total skeleton from soemone who was reasonabley ok.

If you are interested TC he will give a
  9. Thanks J...........so its just Munty & CWD that have them....any others? JOEB a chinese wont use its tusks against a dog, historically speaking of course.
  10. yes mate they do, and bloody sharp things they are. one once totally ruined my wellys after i had jumped into a dyke to pull scoob and the munty out. luckily i was wearing my boots or my poor calf would have been seriously slashed. Scoob was slashed a few times, but the worst was the evening a day before i was meant to be running a comp with him, the munty buck managed to slice his front leg muscle quite bad. It took ages to heal too.
  11. Personally, i would take the dog to a good greyhound bone man......they are true miracle makers...
  12. yes mate, your right, bob owned the rambo dog, but i never saw much good come out of its loins. mindst you, i bet it was down to the bitches down here being a bit "shit" lol..... i know there was some fair dogs up north so maybe the blood "clicked".. rambo was some dog.... i had a son out of him...come to think of it, we all had pups out of him,.....the whole bloody estate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. ooppsss...yes, i meant the 170....dduurrrr :11: i have used the blitz also, but found no difference.....i first thought that there was but it appears that my trials were conducted with one battery of insufficient power.....so ...i meant 170.... not been lamping for a while so perhaps i am a little rusty
  14. well JOEB, i wouldnt be all too surprised if, whilst lamping rabbits, you see those muntys up the edges of the arable, especially so once the cover has died down and they are hungry...
  15. hi guys, i have tried red filters and even the "red dot" sights, but the birds will still spook, well, the woodies and maggies will spook. pheasants and ferals will sit there like muppets, even when undere 500,000 cp lamp!!! lol, but of course, shooting birds at night with an artificial light is illegal.... so dont do it when the leaves are off the trees we shoot an amount of quarry by just using their sillouette, forget the "moonlit" nights that people seem to think you need, its cloud you really want. Nice pink cloud. everything is visable, and i have no worries with quarry identification.

    Animal rescue

When i was a nipper i had an array of "injured" animals, often picked up from the side of the road. Of course, non ever survived as they were probably well beyond saving. I once found a black headed gull that couldnt fly and took it home. I guess i was about 8 or 9 at the time. My mother got me a cardboard box and told me not to let it out. She went shopping and, of course, i let it out. When my mam came back there was seagull shite, the white runny stuff, all down the hall, stairs and landing.lol :11: this also died. then there was the newts i left in my trouser pocket when i was 6 or 7...b

OK, everyone knows i am not too good on these bloody t'internet machines..... i am trying to cut and paste from one picture to another. I cut roundthe detail and then press "cut", i then click "paste" and the image appears on the place i want, but it wont let me drag the pasted bit about, i have tried pressing the hand logo but it will not let me move it...HELP....
  19. When i was younger and "knew it all"! i would be lamping in all weathers, even the snow once!!!!!!!!, (but thats another story!) I have ran dogs on the lamp when the ground has been too hard through either frost or baked dry conditions and every time i have regretted it. Personally i woudlnt do it. A fast dog is going to fare much worse than a steady dog, but i dont think the dog should be run. Take the gun out instead and do a bit of night shooting. A dog with a broken toe wont be running for a while, and when the weather warms a little and the ground underfoot is fluffy and just right, you
