who in there right mind keeps a lurcher thats is not stock broken clearly someone not right in the head with all the stuff in the press about badger baiting dog fighting and now a lurcher running wild killing sheep we dont have much hope in my eyes it should be made a legal requirment to have your dog stock broken be it pet or working dogs its just gonna make getting permmission even harder one clown spoils it for the rest of us how have put the time in training are dogs to a good standered and gaining permmision hope this dog is got soon before alot of lad lose there ground robert

non ped and kc whippets can be of the same size weight but the thing is they are carrieing the greyhound gen and this will make them far faster im no gennetic expert but im sure you could get a dog of whippet type size weight and so on but have 90% greyhound gens so on outside its a whippet in side its a greyhound would it be fair to race this with a dog with no greyhound in it i dont thinks so but at end of day im not in whippets for the raceing more the working side i would like to see more lure coursing ran over diffrent distances from 200 yrd up over jumps and without each round the cou

good fresh dog meat for sale at the minute i only have chicken necks 10lb bags for £3.50 each but over the next few weeks i will have the following tripe chicken turkey beef heart and fish can be put up in 10lb bags or 1lb bags fresh or frozen pm if intrester robert

it will all come in good time mate just read whats been wrote already you wont go far wrong another tip that works a lot of the time is when th ebunny is running along the hedge shake the lamp slightly seems to put them of a little bit another is when a rabbit makes the hedge dont turn lamp of right away as some times they will come back out but my type of dog ploughs in on top of them hope these help robert

i once remember making plans to do abit of lamping with another fella i told him to meet me at a local spot when i turned up he was there with 3 more of his mate so i thought whats going on here was only ment to be me and him but i carried on into the first field they never shut up then to top it up they pulled out two grass joint and lite up blooded numpies i told them what did they think they where at and as i was only one with lamp i walked of told them to get lost and walked home some clowns about robert

just read the topic about HID lamp and some the post on it about keeping lamp on to open gates and so on so ill tell you some the things i do while lamping 1 keep tight to the hedge so i place myself between the feeding rabbits and there warren 2 when i can i walk into the wind 3 if the dog misses the lamp goes of on till he is firmly in slip again 4 if the dog catches the lamp goes of till the dog retrives quarry and is firmly on slip 5 if im getting over fences or threw gates the lamp remains of i use my own eye sight this is just some the things i do they work w

To tell you the truth ive never really been a fan of this cross as in my mind at a time they where for one job and that was a terrier mans lurcher good round a hole but as a alround lurcher i never rated them another thought that put me of this cross was most the ones i seen where poorly trained pulling there owners round the place none retrivers poor recall and so on you know the types so im my eyes i thought i would never have one about me as they would not suit my needs i like a dog that can be trained to a good standered mostly it would be used for lamping rabbits the odd day time har

first and fore most for me it has to be the working abilty of the sire and dam no matter what the papers say if they are doing the job week in week out you stand a chance robert

i had one that really would of take anything you let him he was a 36lb whippet dog you just pointed and slipped with big teeth or little un he done the job not only this he would of protected me to the death remember a big collie charging at me all intented on hurting me my loyal dog went to town on it and ended a bit worse for where but protacted the heart of a lion wish i had him now being young and only learning the game myself i made a few mistakes with him but he was one hell of a dog robert
