  1. Cheers fella! Wasn't quite sure if i was getting it across well, or it was coming out the right way, but i think it read well enough? LOL Regards, Grim.
  2. Hehe . . . . . . . Nice to see you are trying Sean . . . . . .VERY trying!! All the best, Grim.
  3. All is not lost if the safety goes to pot, my S310 was made without a safety of any kind, and i think it has helped me to re-enforce my 'safety mind' in all respects where my air rifle is concerned. When you add to this the fact that i am teaching my 9 year old son Liam (Blue Dragon on here) the ins and outs of using an air rifle (mine in this case) the absense of a safety catch is, to me at least, of an added bonus. I say this because he is always checking the position of his trigger finger, as well as the position and orientation of the rifle itself every time he makes a move - more so
  4. Why, thank you Gilly Hehe . . . . its not often i get the chance to say anything wise! Lol Regards, Grim.
  5. Davy, No worries at all bud Its good to see that it has all worked out for you, and am pleased to have helped! If I am in a position to be of help to someone, i will do the best i can by them. All the best Davy mate, Grim.
  6. Cheers Jamie, just wanted you to not misinterpretate what i was trying to say, and then go off having drawn offense, like. I have no doubt that most (if not ALL) of these types of forums have their own probs and matters etc going on, and that is their business, like. But we (the membership) of these places ought to be striving together, regardless of whatever is going on 'upstairs', if you get me? Lol I have noticed one thing though, with reference to bbs of the last year or so. That is that they DO seem to cater more and more for the ft/hft/paper punching types? The hunting really h
  7. Davy, I think you'll find that the constituent parts of the safety are the safety switch block, a wee spring, a small ball bearing, and a little grub screw (if i remember this correctly). The safety catch block goes into the trigger first, then the ball bearing, followed by the spring, and then to close it off, you insert the grub screw. That was the case with my mate's S410, but his was an early version (his one has 3 trigger sears, and is pre anti tamper, if that helps you?). Hope this help you out some bud? Regards, Grim.
  8. Well RK, i have gotta say thats an absolutely damn fine job you've done there - PUKKA mate!! Also got to mention that, although i'm not one for all this cammo tape malarky, it doesn't look half bad at all - if, as in this case, properly done and all (obviously, you have the patience of a saint). Having said that, i have almost finished making a 'knockabout' stock for my S310 (laminated ply board jobbie) and am trying to paint the bugger up in cammo colours. I might just need to contact you after seeing the job you did above, to see about you maybe camming my knockabout up for me? I re
  9. To Maltenby - I'm glad to see that I'm not alone in the use of these roll up filter tips, i really do find they are good for cleaning the barrel. To Droid - no worries fella - glad to see you think my suggestion worth a try bud. Umm . . . . . . there is, of course, another good use for them - particularly in a springer for use indoors . . . . . Now then, what you can use them in a springer indoors for is this: If you see (in the current weather it is most definately see them) a couple of flies or blue bottles flying around indoors, simply load one of the filter tips u
  10. With respect, i would disagree with you there bud - I lived all my life in London until six years ago, and i had owned several air rifles in that time (and i have owned an air rifle since i was 13-14) - i had no permission to shoot on land back then, also, i was not a member of an air rifle club. But i never once used my air rifles for 'shooting about the streets' - i was only able to use them in my back garden, and so that is where i used them. Just felt I had to mention that point with regards to your rhetorical remark mate - i can see what you mean of course, but please don't be
  11. To be honest with you (and I don't say this lightly, mind) but i don't tend to clean my barrel if the accuracy remains true. When i have chosen to clean my barrel, the thing i found most useful is . . . . beleive it or not . . . those little filter tips you get for making roll ups. Yes, its true. I would advise you to go for the 'Swan' make as well, and not a barstood make. What i do is roll a filter between my finger and thumb to compress it down to fit my barrel, and then insert it at the breach face, slide the bolt home and then fire the rifle. It has worked well for me when i have
  12. Absolutely Jamie - free choice for everyone is what i meant of course, but without the attitude that some have, like. My reply was aimed at those [few] who seem to treat membership of a web site/forum as being like a dick waving contest - or sort of like saying 'mine is better than yours' type of thing? I don't think we [ by 'we' i mean members of shooting web sites in general] should be bad mouthing each other as a whole, but rather we should all be working together to improve the public perception of us [shooters] as a responsible and authorative group. I prefer to think of it t
  13. Are you mad? you say . . . . MAD?? . . . . No mate, you're not mad at all . . . . Downright bloody certifiable . . . .yes . . . . . But not mad, pal! Cheers, Grim
  14. Hi Ryan, Don't know much about the S200 - never owned one . . . . . BUT (and there is always one of them, you noticed that!?) assuming that the pressure is down to 50 bar or less, you may need to cock it first before filling? This closes the exhaust valve which seals it [rifle] down nice and airtight, so you can then fill it without it pissing the air out on you. That is the proceedure on the S300, the S310, and the S400/410 series, and so i am guessing its also the case with the S200 range as well? Like i said, i'm not 100% sure on it, as i have never owned an S200, but someo
  15. Well done old son - good show! Keep going like that and you'll be fine bud. Regards, Grim.
  16. Try using Nutella hazlenut flavour chocolate spread - smear it on something (anything really) that you find around the bottom of the tree and wait for the squizzer to come down (he will ) and because the spread is like thick treacle, he can't 'take it and run' sort of thing - he will have to stay there chewing at the stuff. This will give you the chance for a shot at it. Hope this helps you, it works for me every time. Regards, Grim.
  17. Further to my reply above, i guess what i was trying to say was . . . . . . . To those who are happy with THL - I say this: Stay here and be happy - there's a good crew here, after all is said and done! And to those who are happy (albeit mistakenly IMO, but there we are!? ) with life on the bbs - I say this: Bugger off back there then!! Bye Bye!! End of . . . . Simple as . . . . 'Nuff said! Regards, Grim.
  18. your right about what?????? [sigh . . . .] Search me pal!? I think that it would fairer for those who want to be members of several sites, to be allowed to do that. But it is certainly not fair to 'ban' someone (as 'They' do) just for being a member elsewhere as well, do you guys not think? Thats my thoughts on it, anyway. Regards, Grim.
  19. Not really mate! 'We just don't take to kindly to those paper punching types round here!' Well said, Maltenby - "give that man a ceeegar!!" ATB, Grim.
  20. No Hughesey, it won't look daft or anything. The Weihrauch is the moderator to die for. I have one on my S310 along with the adaptor, and it don't look out of place at all bud. You can (though i sincerely hope you don't) do a whole lot worse than to get the Weihrauch mod and adaptor - worth every penny pal. Regards, Grim.
  21. No mate not a grave digger or cremator operator . . . . you are close, but no cigar! lol I am a Hearse Driver by trade, and very proud to be so too. Its a very challenging thing to be doing, as you are continually against the clock, and you should always be aiming to get to your destination 5 minutes before you need to be there, to make sure that the funeral runs on time. So far, i have never been late at a house, church, cemetary or crematorium, and thats a good record to be proud of. There are some funeral companies that do arrive late, and it is such bad manners, as well as being a p
  22. This, i just GOTTA see!!! lol Might even 'pop' in there [ For a laugh, like] if you post the link to it up here? to you SS! Regards, Grim.
  23. Can't speak on the FN19 in 22, but have had a good go on my mate's FN19 in .177, decent air rifle IMHO, and worth considering seriously, I'd say. Regards, Grim.
  24. DOH!! A very bad practice that - NEVER put any wood (let alone a hard wood) on or near a radioator or fire! Timber needs to be dried out naturally, and not by force. To ensure your wood keeps it's condition and develops a good degree of waterproofing, keep it well oiled, regularly, and you will have no problems in this department. Regards, Grim.
