Just back to France via UK from Tenerife, enjoyed my first taste of Spain, special quality time with my beautiful sons having fun. Was interesting engaging with the Canarians, expats, looky looky men from Senegal & other holidaymakers. Thinking about moving on from France now!

basically they are all similar, booking.com etc. Tripadvisor ells you the best deal. Booked flights direct with Ryanair, who I use a fair bit anyway. Parking at Stansted is a pisstake though, eighty quid for a week!

Ive sacked the jogging till after me holiday, 1hr on the mountain bike after 20 mins skipping and the bag. Think the hotel has a gym so will try a tredmill maybe.

Difficult for them to tax logs.. New law here in France now apparently, all logs to be declared, gendarmes have the right to pull you over if youve a trailer load and ask for proof etc. Coincedence..? Ive just had 70m3 of oak of off my place best part of E4k, I wont need to do it again for a good few years, but theirs people who have made a good living doing this, im sure they all declare it in their tax..

Never heard of shin splints till I read this, 4 days later & feck I was in pain, stopped and walked back, even then that was a struggle.

OK hope so, im doing this 6 times a week, but started with shorter distances, and the bike is only a couple of times a week. Im 102kg & 5'10" with 3 pairs of socks on. Anyone similar height shape always seem to be 78ish kg! Always been the same though since I was a kid. I managed to get down to 90kg about 3 years ago felt week & skinny. So possibly 96 might suit.

Only been at it 3 weeks. Longest run today 6.5 km approx in 47 minutes, tarmac and track alongside the river. Apparently ive burned 470 kcals on the run, but doing bag and skipping 15 minutes before and after, sometimes 20 mins of mountain bike after. Surely I should be loosing a bit of weight soon! Or am I converting into muscle? Eating sensibly, couple of beers only 2 nights at the weekend.

sounds like you need to manage your expectations better Im 45 an just started out jogging the last fortnight, combined with skipping bag work, bit of bike & press ups (at the moment), quite enjoying it. Im 100kg but look skinny at 90, so aiming for approx 94. But shape and lungs are more important. Low carbing as I always tend to but a few beers is my weakness.

Lads, help me out. Im wanting to take my boys away at the end of the month for a week, just them 4/11 and me. 'We' fancy Spain, so im looking for a resort type thing with plenty of swimming pool and or water park & all inclusive might be a best bet. So please bombard me with names of resorts & hotels, do's and dont's. As I really wanna give em a special week. Doesnt have to be 100% Spain. Have looked at a place called Estival Park all inclusive, comes out about 2 grand (GBP) flights and hotel, seems a lot but not took them away on a package thing before. Sincerely, thank
