No one any ideas? I am pretty clear on the hen house itself now after having looked at a few designs online. Could still so with some guidance on nest box size per chicken though thanks

I've taken lads out with dogs that had an awesome reputation online only to watch the bags of spanners miss about 29/30 odd runs, lad was still chuffed to bits with it as well

Nice pics. The breakfast pic has made me hungry though!

Hi All, I am looking to put a coup together tomorrow, as I have the day free. The intention is for it to house between 6-10 birds. I have had a quick look online for plans (and will carry on doing so) but I was after some rough dimensions of what you would go for/recommend. I have in my mind something along the lines of a larger dog kennel/small shed contraption with a nesting box either side. I was thinking approx 6ft X 4ft and maybe 4ft high plus nesting boxes. With a roof that hinges up to allow for cleaning etc. So with that in mind; Is the size of the main box big enough, or could i

Specific. Can't say more than that, but if anyone gets the opportunity, go for it BUT...... only commit if you are prepared to work hard. There's lot's of support; part of my role was mentoring the local contractors. Cull companies are being discussed and set up in TB hotspots. If you aren't in a TB hotspot, forget it. OK, thanks for the info. Good to hear a non bullshit account of what went on as well.

Shame the media can have people so blinkered they can't figure things out for themselves, with the number of roads around the country with a dead badger every 100 odd yards you would have thought people would figure out that rare they are not. What is the training for a contractor, DSC2 or something specific to badgers?

Matt, have you ever heard any talk of the protected status simply being lifted/removed? As an alternative way of getting to the same goal I know the initial decision would cause a massive stink for the politicians but the antis would struggle to do anythig to disrupt if each farmer was able to deal with his own problems or get people in to sort them. Why do you think they retain their protected status? Or is it just because it's too much of a political nightmare for. It to be tackled?

Agree with this 100% Compare it to say center of London and its like two different planets. When your talking about manners in Scotland are you referring to how polite people are if you have an english accent or politeness among Scots? Hmmm fair point. I've spoke to a few English in pubs etc and the worse they get is ripping the pish out of there accent. But then again, every c**t rips the pish out of a Glaswegians accent lol. Tbf I have stayed for short periods in all 4 countries and found most people to be sound enough. I broke down in Newcastle at a meeting (left lights

Its a breach of trust whichever way round the genders are. I thought the lad was 16 though so OK in the eyes of the law in normal circumstances but wrong from the point of view of her profession. And because she is a teacher and therefore 'position of trust' i believe its actually still against the law up to age 18. Difference between this way and the other way round in my view is the way men view sex/love/relationships when compared to most women. IMO there is no way that 95% of the 16 year old male population would feel a victim in that situation

Wouldn't say it sinister just a bit weird for her to be interested in him, she must have been having some other problems or something. Not sure what's up with him spending the night with her kissing in only bra etc. WTF! And nothing happened!!?! He is going to regret that one further down the line.

Doris is looking good mate!

In my opinion, the problem with deerhoundX is 95% of the people that own them. Lots being owned by show type people, or those wanting a 'scruffy looking lurcher'. Even the majority of the 'working' homes are having them catch a dozen rabbits a year and nothing more. And these all breeding them on sentimentality alone If people worked them on all sorts and didnt breed from anything substandard, I dont think it would take very long to get to something pretty special But then again, thats the same problem with most lurcher crosses, although more so with deerhound crosses

Would you be able to send it to an RFD? I may take the baikel if so -
It would be shite to grow up in the countryside and not do all the out door stuff as you wouldnt even get the benefit of having a town up bringing either. I love getting the kids out with the dogs or ferreting, fishing or building dens/tree houses etc and they love it as well. Its easy at the age they're at but ultimately at some point will likely chose to go their own way.

I have used chapix in the past, they worked well but made me feel sick fairly often. Some people say they get crazy dreams, i did as well but no more than any other time

They are a really good way to make coming off tags fairly easy but you should plan to come off them a few months down the line, it's very easy to go back onto the real thing when you already have 30 a day worth of nicotine in your system. All it takes is a flat battery on it.. When I was on mine I could smoke it anywhere and the amount of nicotine will have increased from after the real thing as I was on it constantly

I would have thought if it was for PR then f***ing the press off would have been counter productive

One million isn't enough to go mental on, you would have to be careful with how you use it or it would be gone soon enough. I would put it in rental properties in easy to let areas, or half on houses half invested via the bank.

Its not about not having compassion for the giraffe or any other animal for that matter. Most people that hunt will have compassion for all animals. For me, its the disproportionate level of sentiment that people associate with certain species that (in my opinion) makes some people seem fairly anti-esque. Like proper antis do with putting badgers on pedestals etc

Must've been very cute little horns, seems to half of the into veggies

Can't believe people have an issue with this. Humanely done and put to good use after probably the best biology lesson in history, what have I missed?!

I've bought and sold a fair few bits off others on here over the years and never had any problems. Its fairly easy to spot who the numpties are and just not deal with them
