  3. wht a stupid comment from someone who clearly doesnt know that badgers would also do this!
  4. well said Hannah Ladies, many many thanks for your condescending pearls of wisdom, I'll sleep a lot easier in my bed tonight knowing that there are such exceptionally well informed pillars of knowledge ready and willing to impart these little gems on simple minded folk like myself. I feel very humble to be in your presence and very grateful to that you felt me important enough to get on your smug high horse and put me right. Once again I thank you...... our pleasure
  5. mine arrived last week. slightly disapointed with SOME images but some are very good. Think ill give it as a chrissy present rather than keep it though.
  6. its not their place to choose!!! If customes decide to open the package and see you are purchasing something from usa to UK then you WILL BE CHARRGED Nonsense! If all duties are paid then there is no reason for them to charge at uk borders :wallbash: Do your homework girls http://www.cabelas.com/custserv/custserv.jsp?pageName=IntnlShippingPayOptions I never have an issue nor do others that i know who use them too. If you try and cheat it then yes you will be charged if customs find it, if all duties are paid and correct then you won't. you still have to pay....jus
  7. wow......change the colour and that could be the dog im talking about ....absolute image
  8. have tried several times but every time it tells me nothing found so Pie was a dog rather thn an affix then? so unless he sired hundreds of litters, chances are the dog in quetion isnt a direct decendent. thanks for info.
  9. what is his hip score and eye status?
  10. EXACTLY sadly that is the way publications get sub standard editorials and images, by using the weekend warriors and pushing pros out of work

  12. im hoping someone can explain "pie" to me please.....and I dont mean the mathematical conundrum that baffled us all at school either! I was told that a dog was "pie bred" so can someone please illuminate me and let me know who, or what "Pie" was?? Any info gratefully received. thanks.
  13. Barbed wire fence? read the small print carefully.....many of them will not allow you to calim for an illness or ongoing treatment the next year after you have claimed I use petplan and they are 1st class. As for the tw*at who suggested insurance fraud.......thanks....thats the sort of moronic behaviour that gets the premiums put up for the rest of us :censored:
  14. i have some of their overtrousers and they are the best.....because i wear them alsmost daily for my work, in season, then they really get well tested, and my current ones are about to start their 3rd season of hard labour so imagine the coats are equally as good.
  15. I put one up a few months back Bird it may be that one your thinking of if he came from a reputable breeder (and lets hope that he did) then they will take him back, and indeed would have made a contract when you bought him to say that he MUST go back if they were reputable. if that fails then breed rescue will be able to help you this is a starting point click here
  16. Interesting cross, Ive heard of similar bred dogs used for big game tracking and holding, but mainly abroad... Im in Northumberland, and go out now and then with some good otterhounds that are part of a mink pack. Im sure you will find some closer to you, but if your stuck, drop me a PM. i would dispute the "best nose in the business" (try a bloodhound for that!) however if you pm me i can put you intouch with some almost pure pred otterhounds (they are a mink pack) in Devon.
  17. yes its true, Ive meta guy on here and had the most gorgeous pup from him, i look at the pup pix on this forum and see mainly weedy potbellied, scared, poor looking things, but this one is big strong, plump, in fantastic condition and i was able to meet both dam and sire and at a price that was well below his worth. There are a few genuine caring prople on here who treat their dogs well and not like throw away accessories, but they are in the minority sadly.
  18. we moniter them here in Devon and not seen any yet, day or night.....and even if we did its definitely too early to be (morally) shooting them in their newly migrated and light condition .....give them a chance to get here, get rested and fed.
  19. depends on what you mean by excercise. For formal excercise,we allow 5 minutes per month.....so 45 minutes at this stage of actual "out for a walk", but then some free running (not with adults) during the day in our field.
  20. thats cheaper than here.....chip and paperwork for docking is £30 plus another £18 for the chip itself. Dont forget to add on the costs of getting the bitch eye tested every year and hip scored as well.(which obviously you will have already done) yes, as required for legally docked puppies. do you mean chip, as in serial number in back of the dogs neck?
