    its rare for hens free range variety, to lay in the winter as theres not enough daylight. if you want year round eggs you need to give them daylight conditions, ie artificial lighting. personally i prefer to manage withou egs in winter and let my hens have a natural life with time off for a month or two.

    the initial vaccination is usually 2 with a few weeks apart, then one a year after that. however many vets now agrees that after the 1st booster at 12 months, continuing annualy is not really necc.

    utter rubbish mate......copyright belongs to the photographer (apart from a few minor exceptions) and putting it on the net does not make it available for fair usage. Its theft however you look at it, to use the image without permission. As a professional photographer of 20 years, im heartliy sick of thieves, and now send invoises tyo everyone i catch using my images without permission or the correct payment. ive just discovered someon on this site has stolen images from my site and used them on face book. They can also expect an invoice if they are reading this now!!!

    £66 a set, every 3 or 4 weeks in hunting season....best farrier in the area! (devon)

    I have the same......in fact its the reason he came to me, because previous owner simpy couldnt keep him in his built ip area, and as we have no one to complain about the noise, then hes fine here. hes silent hunting which is all I care about. If you get neighbour problems then I think you may have to consider the problem nore seriously im afraid.

    for your interest.....the "snapper" dontated several days and well over £100 squid in travel expenses as a favour.....to help raise the money for these two worthy causes. Lifting images of the "snappers" website with a camera phone would be illegal. I think you will find that "the snapper" (god I hate that term ) is more than happy to provide thumbnails for a previesw....but is currently busy earning a living away from the computer for a few days .

    I wish I could have your confidence Sadly I very much doubt we will see the ban lifted. If by a slim chance it is......it will be so regulated/licenced, we will be worse thatn we are now. Just my opinion.

    Is there anyone in Devon or East/north corwall with a pcp, who would fill a gun for me, just once? I cant pick up my new dive bottle for a few weeks and would just like one fill (and of course Ill pay for the pleasure, im not expecting it for nothing) for my HW100 so I have a few shots in hand for the birds that are eating my roof on a daily basis

    All you hunting folk are invited to get together a team (from 1 to 6 people in a team) for the lamerton Foxhounds Quiz night. Its on november 15th, at the Blue Lion pub (Lewdown) between okehampton, tavistock and launceston. The emphases will be on fieldsports, and we are hoping local hunts will send a team, and theres also a lamping team and several shoot teams. its a good night out amongst fielsdports lovers, the questions are not too hard and theirs a sausage and chips supper included in the £6/person price. Prizes for the winning teams include cash and booze! PM me if you want more

    if your skint, rip a bit of reflective strip off a hi-viz works vest, and tie onto collar. are the slipleads "normal" slip leads or ar they lamping ones (ie a loop bothends and just let go of one end so it releases/slips thru collar?)

    unless they are born in ireland its not legal. you cannot get them legally docked in UK, as they are not one of the listed breeds that can be legally docked by a vet. if you do it you will be in deep deep doo do, and no vet can legally dock a rott in england. I know they look horrid with tails but that is the law. Some folk can get away with it with certian breeds simply because they are on the list and unless someone asks for the paperwork, they go largely unnoticed,...but rotts are not, and you simply cant get away with it.
