Why are people talking about the breed "going to ground" and "too hard"? If you read the post, the fella only wants it as a companion for his other staff and possibly to work with ferrets. Depends what you mean by working with ferrets mate? If you just want him to mark holes and do a bit of bushing he should be ok for that, but you'll need something a bit quicker to catch the rabbits running. Just for bushing and marking i use a Border Terrier, great little dog for what i need her for.

I had the same shite when i had a Rottweiler 22yrs ago, but the main reason was because about 7yrs after i got him it became fashionable for the "chaves" to own them, nothing wrong with the beed, just when they become popular with the wrong crowd, they end up with the wrong reputation because pricks use them for the wrong reasons.

Mine don't, but if you look inside you can see the "shape" of the battery on the bottom. What we really need to know is, is it a mk3 or a mk3m?

You can get noise if they are in the wrong way, if you hold the collar so the shorter bit of the collar that slides off is in your right hand and the bit that holds the batteries is in your left hand the furthest battery from you should have the "lump" bit facing up, the one nearest to you should have the "flat" part of the battery facing up. Hope you get what i mean by that. Good luck with it.
