  1. Can it be done? I was chatting to my brother and he asked what happened to fox cubs if they get dug to. I told him, and he asked couldn't they be tamed? I said no, because of their inbuilt wild instints, but then it got me thinking, could they? from a young enough age? Does anyone know of one that is/has been tamed? No comments of "Na i'd just kill em" That's all well and good but it won't answer my question.
  2. I don't mind rain, but it's bloody hard to ferret in a river So, NO, not me.
  3. Why bother taking a spade? If you can't locate your ferret where you going to dig? I never used to use a locator, but i learn't the hard way, hope for your sake you don't have to.
  4. Still got both ferrets, no more timewasters please.
  5. is that the 50cc that they used to mod up ?
  6. I think you need to learn A LOT more about ferreting first my friend. Ferrets will NEVER come back to YOU. They will however come out of the burrow when they have had enough of being in there, but there are some times when a ferret either won't or can't come out. Do you have a collar to find them? Do you know how to use it? Do you have a spade? Do you know when to use it? Wise up BEFORE you go and lose a ferret.
  7. What a :wankerzo4: , no wonder your gutted mate.
  8. I use both, and haven't had any problems with either, but i would choose the mk3m because it is more waterproof and you don't have to remove the batteries after using it.
  9. One of which will get you 5yrs if you don't hold an fac, and the other could get you in a load of shite for releasing an nuisance animal in unknown territory.
  10. Should be no problem at all son, as long as you have plenty of bedding in there. If you do come off, and sqish em, well i just hope to god your ok, i've ridden bikes for 30yrs and yes i've come off a few times but i've also had a couple of bad crashes in cars, but i still take my ferrets in one. Go for it lad.
  11. Why is he getting rid of a good dog? What's it like with kids and other dogs, is it kenneld inside or out?
  12. I'm not a target shooting man myself, i use my gun in the field, and i can't fault the HW100, acurate, adjustable trigger, reliable, and bloody well built. (check out the blueing on it) Of course one mans meat is......, and all that, but try one. I use the thumb hole stock carbine, and it is an awsome weapon in the field.
  13. Damn you 'ARRY' that's just what i was going to say, get someone else to do it.
  14. and so say all of us hear hear Too right, well done kid, don't worry about the mugs pming you, in fact IF they have the minerals, why not say what they want to say to you on here, an open thread? Cmon Lads, make yourselves known.
  15. I agree there is no need for bitching, BUT it will happen so better here than in the for sale section.
  16. Summers ok, i love ferreting, so winter is best for me, but summer brings lighter evenings and good sport for the rifle. Whatever floats ya boat really, but if you ONLY hunt in summer, then, yes, you ARE gay.
  17. That's a no brainer Al, Family first every time. The Missus wouldn't agree though, she says i spend more time with the dog and ferts than her.
  18. Looks absoloutly cracking there mate, guess it is this time of year, bit busier in the summer eh.? Dogs seemed to be havin a great time together. Nice one.
  19. Here you go guys and girls, use this to bitch about JRTXGREYHOUND That way he and others can sell their stuff without fecking up the for sale section. Thanks.
  20. I have 2 of last years litter, they went to my sister in law, but due to a change in her circumstances they are now back with me. They haven't seen any work but the mother and father were both great workers, and the sister is turning out really well. Both are hand tame. I don't really have the space to keep them as i already have 6 others, so if you can give them a good home, working or pet let me know. edited to add picture.
  21. I'll be in shite for this but:
