  1. How old is the bitch mate ?
  2. Hello Trappa I'm interested in this gun myself. Please can you let me know how the gun performs and how quiet it is. Do you think I could shoot foxes in my garden at close range with one of these 410's. Is it powerful enough for a humane fox kill at 20 yards ? and if so using what shot ? How about that single bullet from Eley - how accurate are they ? Do you think you could fit a telescopic sight tone of these 410's for accurate use of the single bullet ? Damn foxes !!

  4. Ive seen a Alsation /Grey that was used as a general lurcher and that could have easily been trained to be a hunt and fecth dog. She weren't much of a lamper though as she was a bit slow on the turn. GS can probably be trained to do anything as they are so veratile. German Wire Haired pointers are good all rounders. Easy to train too. Regards Tel

  7. Hello I have one called Jess and she is three. Really easy to train. My one is abit nervous but she is third hand. I have had her since she was 18 mnths. I really like her much easer than my last dog a Brittany that I had for 13 years. Both used for Falconry with Goshawks and bushing with me jook. She is a strong pointer and hunts well but won't crawl in bramble for rabbits. My mates one does. Good luck

  10. Hello I agree with the eggs - they usually work. Some people say a small mirrior laid on the floor near the eggs in the trap helps. Once you get your first bird you will catch loads of the buggers. Good luck Terry I hope so Terry, I have loads of them here. I laid of for a while shooting them to try and trap them as I be away working and don't have alot of time to hunt them. Today I got really pissed with them and laid a bread trap. Nothing happened for about 2 hours although they sat in a tree 300 yrds away. Then on edge of dark 2 hooded crows dropped in for th

  13. read the posts properly I never said I was interested in the dogs, so a messer I'm certainly not. And as for interfering you've got some neck. I'm even giving the fellow another BUMP nuff said, i dont want a row starting off the back of this, i got carried away with my replies to "lee green" and shouldnt have put a snakey twist on things in the first place. its not really my style but came off the back of a bad couple of weeks and a harris hawk with a bad wing infection. not making excuses for myself mind! im sure lee green and i can fall out over something much more interesting than this
  14. The bird is not a Gos. Looks like a lost hybrid falcon that was being mobbed by a wild female Peregrine - probably. Any jesses on it ?
  15. Yes he is an imprint, picked him up from "Mick Kane on the 2/6/07 at 14 days, and he never left my side, he came to work every day, and was exposed to every sight and sound, he is bomb proff with every thing nothing upsets him ! all the game birds, some of the various, and the 2 wood pigeons were taken field hawking. All the rest were out of the "window" even the rabbits ! Allot were "muggins", but he also had sum top class flights, especialy on Magpies, Blackheaded Gulls and crows, crows are the best flights of all when you can find them in the right place !, he had an awesum flight on Ca

  18. Hello Mate I fly a male Gos too and have an interest in lurchers and british birds. My friend and I have managed to breed one clutch of siberian bullies but they always end up gasping and dying. I am trying to breed gosses at the minute but don't really know aht I am doing. Have you been flying fur of feather with your goss ? Wellcome to the site. Tel

  20. Absolutely impossible for any bird to lose 5oz in under a week - must have been fed [bANNED TEXT] it was first weighted. If you have really properly flown the birds you say you have you would know this, and would equally know how to train and not starve a hawk. Concentrate on what you are doing and man the bird, do not starve the fecker. Its nothing to do with how the bird is reared, I'm afraid that it is just your own incompetance. Harris's that have been left with parents for a long time are notoriously harder to train. Starving the feckers always causes the sticky foote
