Maybe I don't shoot as many pigeons as I could have that day, but spending it having laugh with my kids can't compare. I was saying similar to someone other day, she moaning can't wait for kids back to school etc I was saying I've loved them being off so long.     I like the sounds of rooks. We have a rookery near us. A chilly autumnal Sunday afternoon, chopping logs at bottom of our garden, hearing the rooks sorting amongst themselves who's roosting where, with the smell of my missus roast dinner cooking. If only I could bottle that feeling!

    No pigeons but did get few crows yesterday (18) on a 5 day cut hay field. Had my daughter with me, she makes me so proud, totally in to everything & soaks it all up. This was her first retrieve!! ?
