As others have said, just be totally honest/transparent. They know more than you think; I was taken to court by rspca, found not guilty, nowhere near a conviction - Fac application & feo knew all about it.

Good stuff Bernard. Big sigh of relief getting your boots on familiar soil. Cracking rifle choice. I had a go with 457 royal in HMR absolutely spot on in every way.

If you do go for the gc350 then put a bit of black electrical tape over the red power light before you first go out - it annoyed me when I'm using nv to stay hidden yet im calling towards a bright red light!!

I've a GC350. In my very limited experience so far I've found it very hit & miss, certainly no guarantee, as others have said. They are light easy to carry & i hang mine off fence then move away so not calling them straight towards you. Like stav said, I'm hoping it will come into its own come December time.

And that's what makes it fun!

Talking of horses & horsey people, this is a post I placed on a farming forum couple years ago, think it was February... Had a new hay customer come to pick up from the yard. 2 big rounds & 45 small square (hate small bales). Nice enough horsey lady. Handball the smalls on, at least it warmed me up. Chit chat (well I listened she whinnied) then said cheerio. The the itching starts...down front of bib/brace, down shirt, inside vest. Try to ignore it but it's maddening. Fine, I'm in the yard alone all day. Good brisk westerly gusting through, that'll shift it. Bra

Advice for night vision optics
BenBhoy replied to Robertr10's topic in Shooting Equipment & Accessories
How much are you looking to spend? You can get 2nd hand add on such as pard007 for reasonable £££. I use a pard008LRF and cannot fault it at all in night mode. -
Doesn't give you the right to join in!

A thousand likes. I grew up in an area with no grey partridge, yet since moving to East Midlands I've completely fallen in love with them. My job allows me the privilege of being outside all day & we are lucky to have wild ones here. The last 3 years I've really been hitting the vermin hard on all fronts. My hands are tied on lots of the habit management fronts, but have harassed my employer into some positive changes. I'll be fronting all they payment costs to feed this winter & have no intention of shooting any. Hopefully in a couple of years might get a brace.... but so long as they

so who took the bullet???

No mate, have regularly been seeing a few birds in different spots on farm. Going to see if they form a covey in coming weeks & see how they fare over winter. Will start feeding them end of this month, right through until late spring. If thin on ground next summer will have to release a few, but would rather nurture the wild ones already here.

If you're getting desperate mate you are welcome to come to my work & set our two traps up, we can raise one on a pallet tower.

Jimmy, Good luck in making this happen mate, really hope you can achieve it as a memory that will last. If she never shot before then any clay with little 410 gonna be tricky to hit. If it's so she can say "yeah I shot that" might be an idea to set up something along the lines of practical shotgun, even as simple as bottles of fizzed up pop, its just fun setting them explode when you pull trigger. Genuinely wishing you all the best thoughts.
