  1. Surely if they were of much use they would be more popular? Let's have it right every cross under the sun has been tried at some point. The good stuff tends to stick around and the not so good stuff tends to fade away.
  2. Yeh that was it. Spent my life savings on it. And now its gone. Stolen from me. Please give generously.
  3. I prefer the dimmer on the 210 to the 240. Personal preference I suppose.
  4. I will be with him and also fall victim to the attack. It will be lurcher lads and they will steal my iPhone 6s and my new bellman and flint. Thanks in advance.
  5. All the best in your search for a pup bosun. I know you've fancied a busher for a while.
  6. Ha ha I've bought her for my son it's his first dog. just got her for mooching about with the lurcher shel come ferreting with us too. They've invited us up for a few days out with them when she's older. Shel come everywhere with us really..? Spot on. I'm sure he will be well chuffed with her. They seem a good bunch them Severn valley ratters.
  7. We reckon he will do a job mate. Will stick up a few posts over winter so people can see how he's getting on. He might take some hammer off the bramble but saying that my Plummer takes some stick after a few hours in the tight bramble but never seems to phase her.
  8. That's a smart little bitch mate. Heard good things about that Merlin dog. You will get some flack on here for owning a Plummer. There are better dogs for bushing, better dogs for ratting and they are scared of the dark. Lol. Mines steadier than your average terrier but still a pain in the arse. I wouldn't be without her now though. Look forward to seeing pics in the future. Will she be bushing to runners or the gun?
  9. Hes big mate. Not measured him but at a guess 18"-20" and 40lb. My Plummer is pretty small so he looks a giant next to her. This is next to my 24" lurcher...
  10. I do use collars but I also like to take my time like you say and let the ferrets work and do their thing. Sit back on the ferret box and take it all in. I have ferreted with lads on paid jobs or on permissions where the aim is to get big numbers and some of them lads are the opposite. Big hobs with the intention of digging. Ferret in and spade out. Loads of digging on days like that, hard work but it is productive. Each to their own and different circumstances. But if it's a leisurely morning ferreting where numbers aren't the aim then I'm the same as you.
  11. Since I saw (possibly yourself as the pic of the pen looks familiar) someone say about this last year I put a hanging point in the pen for bunnies to go on, gives them a meal and a workout at the same time. Yeh these pics or similar were on last year mate. Maybe year before. It does give them a good workout. Great watching them argue and drag each other off the rabbit. Haha. They seem to enjoy it. And it kills 2 birds with one stone - stops them dragging the rabbit into their bed and making a mess in the clean bedding.
  12. whats the other dog black and tan gaz It's my mates bull X cocker squirrel.
  13. 12ffs..thats still the middle of the night on sundays. not for me i'm up at 6am with the dogs Spot on. No time for lie ins. We can sleep when we are dead. Lol
  14. personally....i reckon he had some sort of filler implanted into the tattoo, maybe he was trying something different, but what ever it was, his body rejected it.... tattoo's done properly with new needles every time, good ink, and an ultra work space, are never a problem, also the after care is an important part aswell...i'm covered in tattoo's, and iv'e never had an infection..... Same here Tilly. Got my arms, chest, back and a leg done and never had any infection whatsoever. I know people who have but it always comes out after that they didn't take care of it.
  15. That's 40mpg on the nose. Can't fault that mate.
  16. I ve bred and kept half crosses , reverse 3/4 and 5/8 x 3/8 gaz and can honestly say the best all round dog I ve kept was very similar to your bitch. He was first cross dam back to a lurcher of mixed breeding with no bull in the sire. A lot of lads saw him day and night and he put a lot of stuff away. When I sadly retired him at 11 I went to the heavier type but none have held a candle to him as an all round dog.My next pup will be something similar to your bitch. Hope she turns out wellCheers Jake. Appreciate that. Her dam was bull/grey X collie/bull/grey and sire was half cross wheaten grey a
  17. Nice NL. The back looks massive on that. What sort of MPG did you get on the way back home?
