A 2 hour walk every day ! ! ! I bet you ant got your own buisness a wife and kids?! I barlie do anything at all from march to july with mine but by october they will be as fit as a fidddle. 4 to 5 weeks fittness bike work on the roads bit of galloping then work, work, work sees my lurchers fighting fit by october a little bike work in the season tones muscles a bit if you want.

to be honest no one has said anything but fcuk the misses off, but if youv got a young pretty wife as mine is its nice to have something else to do the nights your not lamping. once the season is over I say thats it now till 6 months time, then ill be hard at it again giving the dogs the work they need. as I say I go to next to no shows and dedicate the summer to the family, and to be honest all you have to do in winter is go out when the wifes gone to bed and when she wont miss you ie when eastenders starts or some baby programs are on! play the game! !

what would you think a beardied give you rather then collie or is just what you prefer they should breed old fashioned looking lurchers with a coat that should stand up to the weather better than if a border was used giving a greater chance of smoth pups resulting. Iv also heard there a bit bolder and better on fox than a border collie cross.? But im far from a collie cross expert and this is why im asking and listening to what those who are have to say.

if I could find a good 1st cross beardie collie x greyhound dog and my 1st cross deerhound greyhound bitch turns out any good and can do me 4 or 5 good seasons graft first id look to this croos as a better all round lurcher than its parents on paper. any one seen any deerhound greyhound x beardie greyhound (only intrested in hearing of young from the two first crosses). how do or did they do on f & d ? thanks.

I fetched a young ferret on with goats milk it was o.k. so youv got a good chance with the young. THERES SOME SOFT PEOPLE ON HERE ! dont get me wrong its a real shame what happened to the jill ferret but what use is a 3 legged ferret? its no use as a worker or to itself. dont waste your money on vets bills theve got anoth money already. I would have delt with the jill to stop any further suffering instantlie on discovering such a serve injury. if people on here actually carry out "work" with there ferrets with it being a hunting site and all they should have dispatched plenty

If a Hob and a Jill gets together in season, you will end up with kits, it's called mating and if you didn't want kits, then you should have forked out for a jill jab, saving money isn't the point. I wouldnt bother. I only kept a hob to take my jills out of season as I only work jills. I ended up with a hob I didnt want a load of young I didnt want! I culled the hobs at a day old (which I didnt want to do!) as If I get stuck with the young jills I can live with that. I didnt want to cull the kits and as it made sense to do snip a hob to cover all my jills I did so instead of jabing my jills individually to save money and time in the long run. I tried to be responsable and look what happened !

Vasectomies aren't guarenteed. This is why the term 'proven vasectomised hob' exists. Plus if the hob is used too soon after the op, there is a high chance he will impregnate the jills! If the hob was operated on in Feb and you used him soon after, then yes, you would get pregnant jills! Either the vets didn't explain the post-op outcomes to you or you didn't listen. If I was in the same situation as you, being given a full refund for a vasectomised hob and the offer of a free vasectomy on another hob, I wouldn't complain. if the dan dog was a good dog it would be due to the type of bitches he covered that the pups were slow, if that was the case then put the dog to a greyhound bitch they wont be slow then will they. if the bitch is to slow to do its job whats the point trying to breed from it he might as well buy a decent pup from a decent bitch. I paid £70 in febuary this year. every single jill "Jaffa" covered is either in kit or had young already! ! ! Must be very common I always here about this on here too! ! I would not recomend going down this road too anyone, because by the time you know the vets ballsed it up its too late. Vets giving me a full refund and offered to do the snip on another hob for free ! ! which I said no thanks too!! very poor.

dont work like that mate, shame but it doesnt the immunity is not carried over to the young. It must do?! in the 1950s almost 99.9% of rabbits died when infected, now round my way you can barlie notice mixy has been about. year on year less die so it has to be immunity from recovered stock, I often catch rabbit with the scares from mixy. can any one clear this up 100% ?

iv got a 8 month old bitch doxhope, will let you know in another year or so! Not a giant but at just under 25 inch at the moment should be a usefull size bitch.

no one has mentioned that rabbits recover from mixy know er days !? I would always put them out there misery in the past and Id perhaps catch 2 or 3 with a fresh pup, but now sometimes I dont kill them. The question Im asking is that due to rabbits recovering from mixy then breeding there imunity on to futer young are you ineffect killing rabbits that are sitting ducks and could be the answer to ending this sickerning disease? when ever Iv run 2 pups on Iv ended up favouring 1. if your slipping and coursing hares its not a problem. if your going to train 1 its hard 2 is a nightmare then youv got to ask can you find the work for 2 lurchers say twice a week? stick to 1, and you said about your pup perhaps being a slow starter, but whippets come on fast, a deerhound x greys slow and as youv got a deerhound greyhound x whippet it could go either way or i would say shell just be more like an average lurcher. Iv got a 8 month old 1st x deerhound greyhound and compared to the saluki xs I breed she is slow coming on

purdeys practice is all well and good if you keep collie or kelpie xs. A saluki x is a diffrent matter all together. there clever but hunt for there selfs. herding dogs just want to please and a 5 year old will train them to sit and retreive. be realistic what you can acheive with your dog and value her for what she is. when you say your dog had no stamina when you got it, but it has now ? you can not give your dog stamina buy exercise its got it or it hasnt all walking will do is condition a dog. by the way them dogs from purdeys practice were obideint but looked like long legged f
