    Could the relevant comments of "personal abuse" not have been taken off rather than the entire thread?I think there were valid points and I tried to make them myself on the whole questioning what was in the article And simply questioned weather what was written were accurate and fair from 2 separate Lurcher people. That's one option mate and the thread has been hidden rather than deleted so maybe that was the moderator's intention. It's common to hide something whilst it's tidied up. How about I speak to the moderator concerned and then have a crack at that and then merge the two topics

    It's all there in black and white in may 16th paper.I'm no fox expert in th slightest.     Oh yeah a fantasy dream land that a lot of people on here live in. A FIRST CLASS COURSING DOG WITH NO SALUKI IN ?! not a shreed of truth in that, once the saluki arrived in England its been a vital part of any top hare dog. More chance of elvis presley having a 3 way match with Michael Jackson and lord lukeon and Winston Churchill over seeing from the back of Shergar than a non saluki Lurcher winning a single handed event like the forley cup was.

    Why will putting a greyhound over a first cross bring the size down? Some 1st crosses are 25 - 26 so a greyhound would make them bigger in some cases. And if you need to increase the speed you are either a racing man or you have the wrong first x in the first place! The ones I've seen are plenty quick enough , I wouldn't have a 3 quater breed.

    I only said I see some dogs that were shaped and looked a little lurcher like and that I liked how the Alaskans kept there dogs. Now it's turned into a thread for...     Dont blame the dogs. Program on bbc 3 about some retard delink wants from England. They went to Alaska to stay with a sled racing team, which are husky x hounds? They are built like lurchers. And some resemble saluki xs similar in appearance to Ladie. And the renning action is simila to many a coursing dog. They are kept in small wooden boxs in temperatures of -24, and worked hard and feed well.     How many people who hate the saluki and the bull xs have honestly owned either that we're well breed and fetched on properly and given a fair crack of the whip? I own 1. Doxhope/cooklands 1st cross deerhound greyhound bitch ( getting tested this year ) 2. Platts 1st cross deerhound bitch ( tried and doing the job ) 3.     Sometimes you need to go back to a saluki to stop dogs getting to mongrelised. But the point know one can take in is ....... RED IS NOT A FU*CK**G SALUKI !     What is the exact law regarding shooting muntjac with a shot gun?? Common sense would say if you can shot a big dog fox with a shot gun why not a deer of the same size ( in a lot of examples)? And if on land with permission can they be flushed to a shot gun with a team of lurchers and terriers?

    I think they turned out different than what you thought s ? I thoughy thered take more to the father than they have but they are bigger than both parents and seem to have took more of the saluki than your little black and tanned bitch showed ?! Just going from the pics i saw of her, Its strange what throws in a lurcher breeding.     The police are as bad they took a moter of me 6 month ago, and they know there case is very shaky to say the least now but they'll still hold it till the trial. Which will cost the tax payer around £650 a month x 10 months = £6,500 + my compensation for the vehicle that has run out of tax, m.o.t,repairs and deplication of value and the loss of earnings being registered to my company.     I'm not going there I just wondered. There a funny lot they do what they like when it comes to terrier work. Any other countries on the European main land a Lurcher can be used and on what game ? And can dogs be hunted there on a pass port?
