It is a private prosecution. It's small change for them to take this all the way. I don't know the ins and outs but It was adjourned last week for the c.p.s to look at it. In my opinion the c.p.s run everything. I've had 6 not guiltys on the spin now and some had little evidence and or witness they just hope you plead guilty or crumble in the box.

All of these pictures were presented to Cambridge magistrates in June as "bad character". The 3 magistrates after listening to the explanations given in the witness box dismissed them, some were taken in Ireland and by third party's e.t.c so you can see they were not deemed directly linked, and that was in a court of law once already. On the matter of legal aid, do you think I'd by wasting my time on here if he could get legal aid? He couldn't in June so it's very unlikely now. No offence mate BUT why isn't the accused on here asking for help, how would this fund be set up and how wou

He don't earn a fortune but enough not to get legal aid, if he sat about watching Jeremy Kyle he'd be o.k, but he's working class and white so as its England he'll have to get on with it. Sky cat I know your attitude and it's based on...if the law never got reversed you'd be perfectly happy hunting rabbits and writing books for the rest of your days and if others aren't content with that then to bad thell have to face the consequences alone. Well I'm not content with that and I dream of a day this unjust law is reversed.

Sky cat I don't think Rees is no win no fee! Theres a lot of educated people in hunting I'm sure. If I could help my sport and show the r.s.p.c.a we won't be messed with using my occupation I would gladly do it but my skills up a tree won't help much in a court of law. Just asking if there's a soliciter/barrister who'd take the case on for a sensible fee.

You may have seen the country file raid on t.v. This was linked to a badger digging case in Cambridge in which all defendants were Found not guilty. Clive Rees was defending so was paid by the prosecution a large sum indeed after the case. The r.s.p.c.a have taken there own prosecution on after raiding houses and finding images of dogs and quarie together, but none of any person in the images so there case is really not strong. I've only known this lad a year but in that time and going through a stressful court case together I can tell anyone this is a genuine man who lives for his a

A good friend of mine had his dogs taken (stolen) over 6 months ago now, by the r.s.p.c.a you may have seen it on country file. The r.s.p.c.a we're certain he along with 5 others would be found guilty and cambridge magistrates of badger digging they were then hoping to throw the book at him. The r.s.p.c.a tried to use evidence from there own investigation as bad character against 2 of the men, after being question by the judge on the stand, the defendants accounts were good enough that the pictures presented were discarded and not used as bad character. The defendants were found

I know plenty. Your 40 year old man, your carrying on like your . You must have spent a large proportion of them 40 years on here, having posted 5000 odd times!! I hunt my own dogs, what another man does with his dog is his business I don't stick my nose in unlike the R.s.p.c.a who with all your bitching will succeed in there aims.
-
It should be the working dog man and boys for that matter against the r.s.p.c.a not each other. If you only run rabbit good luck to you but don't preach to others.
-
R.S.P.C.A are pure scum, don't believe nothing they put out,I've been in a case and had all sorts written, well before I was found not guilty. SHAME ON YOU all the fools who keep slagging young boys off and "bull xs chavs" who slip on anything!? At least they slip on something unlike you divys. I used to shot sparrows once till I knew better, give the young lads a chance who want to run lurchers.

Deerhound lurchers not slow to mature.

and are we (scotland england ireland or wales) best in the world at football or rugby ? the best nations seem to educate the mind first holding back a little on the competitive side so probably a good argument for letting them mature first I dont know on that one I recon we got the best youth academies for football and rugby for young ages. To bring the crop through. I'd say its more competitive in youth sports then the adults Look at the regional rugby and football academies there ruthless even from the under 7's. Pushing them as far as can be taken Always two sides to an argument. -

I was saying just the other day to someone that there's not many men who just keep lurchers for work who would kennel and feed a 1st cross that won't try or can't be used on anything other than rabbit and hare till its 3 year old! 18month/2 years at tops but 3?! The dogs declining at 5! Surely you could selectively breed these traits out, I wonder if any dogs take so long to click or it's just lacking in the heart? -

Harvest too late the crop will be poor too! cautious people trying to be clever. Did you see the quality of the late harvested wheat this year? Rubbish. saying don't hold up with crops or dogs, early entering can ruin a dog true but so can lack of experience, hold a dog back for 2 season if you want but the young brain absorbs learning better than an old brain. -

Don't see many middle age, middle class Lurcher women round my way out and about in the fields with dogs perhaps they are all too busy writing excellent and informative books on the subject instead? -

The point about the middle age daft women is correct, look round any show ring in the summer, there she/he is 8 hairy dogs in toe never sniffed a rabbit let a lone a deer! But there pups sell like hot cakes. it's an image thing of having a deerhound Lurcher that is causing mediocre stock. They are such good sellers, they are nearly always show stoppers, but looks don't run but when it comes to drawing a few quid for a dog with out a trial, looks do sell. -

Not that I'd ever undertake in such things but i would think there's a lot of failed track dogs that would be more keen to try tackle a fallow than the half crosses Iv seen! How can that be!? Perhaps the 3 quater is less cautious but Iv found the 1/2 cross a bit to clever and crafty for its own good , regarding speed the 1st cross iv seen are so fast that the greyhound being put to them would make them to fast and over turn.? -

This is where people make the biggest mistakes with a pup, especially Deerhound types,it kills a couple of easy rabbits and so it will soon be ready to test more fully, then reality kicks in and a pup that would have been better left until it was both physically and mentally prepared,as been overfaced, overmatched and if not ruined will take longer to reach its potential. At what age do you say I don't think this dog is what I want or up to its job 2, 3,4 year old? Lets be honest there's better dogs on rabbits and hares even though deerhound lurchers aren't the worse at hare coursing. Iv s -

People make a lot of assumptions from a few words in an advert. Some very wise people that can read others minds and thoughts.
