Bollox to that. This is the best time of year for shooting. Early dark nights Plus the rabbits are worth putting in my freezer and not the one for the dogs. No milky does or kits.

Quite a few years ago, I used to sell rabbits to a fish monger,who used to sell game as well. I used to get pheasants off him that had been hanging in the market for at least two weeks, and they were green. But they were the best tasting pheasants ever, cold. They tasted disgusting warm, but once they cooled down they were absolutely gorgeous, and even nicer as they were free and supposed to be for ferret food. TC You filthy swine

+1 for peanuts. Husked or shelled loose and all year round. I have found that threading the husks and hanging them above the treddle to be more productive. With their Inquisitive minds they can't resist.
