  1. Well that's another topic for another day. Atb
  2. We will see how things pan out when the Ali phos regs are changed. Loads of farms will suffer when the old boy rule is legislated and all folk who use gas have to be trained. Plenty of farms around my way do their own with gas but how many are going to pay to be trained and deemed competent. I tell you now lots will view it as going the same way as strychnine went. So trapping may become a new trend!!! Garlic bread!? It's the future!
  3. Lay on your right arm till it goes dead. Once you start to get the feeling back and the pins and needles start. Knock one out. That would be a good place to start. Get yourself trained up. But on a serious note. It's only brain training. Not saying its something I would undertake. But with a couple of stroke recovered family members I know it can be done. Back to basics I guess
  4. How much shagging action has it seen?
  5. What acreage on average are the farms which you southern fairies work on?
  6. Le Brac. Fully body searches and a good old frisk may happen if you quoted a tenner a mole up here but no farmer suffers fools and your results have to speak for themselves. There is very little loyalty when money is concerned. More the like you are told to feck off and the next chap will be in. I know!! I have made the mistake of quoting a tenner a mole and lost work in the past. This year won't be the best to be radically increasing your mole rates. Well certainly not up here. Poor harvest last summer means silage, haylage, wheat and straw prices have increased. Also what crop w
  7. Lost with it?? I give up, who gave the asylum escapee access to the internet. At least my carers monitor my madness
  8. If it works for you, then so be it Moxy. I'm not suggesting for a minute that the system I use is the only way to do it, or even the best way. Out of interest, have you ever worked out what you are getting 'per mole' using your system? How does it compare on average? I've found that whatever you are offering, providing you are able and willing to justify it people will pay. Thats the first question that gets asked come invoice time. A lot of the land i do is fairly rough and you cant get a tractor on, so i often chain harrow as part of the service but cost extra
  9. Matt, for once i agree with what your saying. No bickering from me for a change. Its still very debateable as to the realistic goal up here of acheiveing a tenner a mole, to a yorkshire farmer that just doesent sound right. I work and charge by the hour or minimum cost per visit, and it works well for me (agric) albeit there will be an increase in this rate for the coming year, my prices have been fixed for the last few years.
  10. Try adapt or come up with something like these. Check out the products http://www.burley.com/
  11. As always. Good going billy
  12. I've started fabricating a few here for my own use based on LLC's good design. But the postage to the UK would be more expensive than the net basket. The only thing I'm having trouble sourcing is the mesh laundry bags. Does anyone havea clue where I can get them from in Australia? Cheers Ebay mate, got any pics of your baskets. ATB These aren't as good as yours but they work pretty well. I'm in the process of getting some stainless wire for my MIG so I can do a few stainless ones. Please xcuse the phot quality I did it on my phone in a dark shed Looks good
  13. Well you can't be doing much. Checking in on here means there is not a lot of graft getting done. Verbal warning!!
  14. WTF you on about?? could you please explain as i believe i have missed something What if your pulling 20 + per acre And im sure the land owner would love your working method
  15. As far as im aware not a great deal. You want to be looking for a rear cocking rifle. They will come with the bolt handle naturaly on the right but you can have lefty versions made up. Other than that you are screwed, bsa, rapid, etc etc are all manufactured for the rightys and it would be an expensive custom job turning the workings around for you cack handers. My shooting buddy is a cack hander and has an s410. Lefty stock and custom lefty cocking handle. He gets on very well with it but its the magazine loading that becomes a bind. Not a major problem just a minor inconvenience. Have
