I have heard somewhere that salami is as good as anything as it keeps for ages and you can get plenty of carbs/etc from it and you can eat it hot/cold, might be a p*ss take but seems a sound enough idea.

Some interlectual one asked me if I liked "Kipling" I simply replied I do not know I have never "Kippled" needless to say he was not impressed at my attempt at humor.

I do not know if you can actually purchase a purpose made Mercury silencer because of the age of the gun but I do know that you can purchase a 1/2" UNF male adaptor for all cylindrical barrels between 13.5 and 16mm (sorry I can not tell you the diameter of the barrel on a Mercury), which will if compatible will allow you to fit many types of silencers that has a 1/2" thread, I think these adaptors retail around the £20/£30 quid mark + the price of a silencer which makes it a little on the expensive side? Good idea! for all those who are new to the sport or simply returning after a few years out a "one stop shop" that will give a "unbiased view" of all new/tried & tested airguns or pellets taking into account all of the comments posted by forum users who have had the experiance of the products in the field. Don't envy you Chris as I think it will be a mamoth task but you will have the backing of all who use this site, good luck.
