    Migrants?

I agree with you there WILF he hasnt done anything to help his cause at all with statements like that. For those of you that might not be aware, the government have recently introduced a new points based immigration system, similar to the one used in Australia - they are tightening up an awful lot and people wanting to come to this country legally have to jump through quite a lot of hoops to get here; the application form itself is 50 pages long and thats only the start. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/managing...stem/howitworks
  5. Meet you there tonight Smudger and we'll have a go taking some more..
  6. Possibly because people's opinions on them are formed by the kind of comments you get on here, without ever having seen one work... Compared to the numbers of patterdales, russells, lakies etc being worked, plummers are amongst a minority to start with, so the numbers of them being worked to ground is bound to be far less again. I know a few people who do work them to ground, most of whom don't come on forums and post about it. The sire of my pup pictured earlier, sadly no longer alive.
  7. Very nice photos, reserve Champion lurcher looks to be Nualas litter brother
  8. heres one of mine 1/2 x deer/grey
  9. They are a terrier the same as any other type of terrier, some people like them, some don't - just as other people have particular preferences for other types of terrier. A lot of people judge them just because their name and their dislike for the man who created the breed and because of this they disregard & ridicule the dogs and those who post about them. If you take time to see them hunt you might just change your mind; a lot of the people who have so much to say about them have never even seen one work. I happen to like them, I hate all the politics that go with them,
  10. I thought that was her Fireman, I took the photo, I remember seeing her there, she won the bitch class didnt she Shame about that Stevie.
  11. I was very pleased with him as he was an exceptional gun dog as well as an earth dog. I used him for several years on the peg and he would find and retrieve all I shot (not much then) even woodcock that some spanials had missed or refused to pick. Maybe not the best in others eyes especially the proper earth dogs keepers but I was happy with him. Is he not alive any more steviemann? Ive seen a photo of him before - he looks a very nice dog How is his dam Jay bred - I think Ive seen her before a couple of years back.
  12. lovely flowers Scabious aren't they - I like the wild blue ones
  13. It looks like a white scabious to me
  14. Excellent photos those Doxhope, especially the first one
  15. The two eldest are doing very well, munching on rabbit now, and have opened their eyes Edited to add some photos of the younger kits, now approx 3 weeks old
  16. some unusual colours there welshound
  17. surely that doesnt matter as if they dont find the chip in the normal place they scan the whole dog anyway? I don't mean to be rude but think about it a bit.... If a microchip moves down a dogs leg for instance and positions its self on a joint or say in the dogs toes it's not very comfortable.... Agree, its far too early to chip a puppy at a few days old. Our vet won't chip them till its time for their second jab at around 11 weeks old, because when they are so tiny and growing its possible the chip can move to somewhere it shouldn't. Theres nothing in the regulations to say
  18. And babbys True, but not as troublesome as the fleas
  19. the only trouble with summer ferreting is the fleas
  20. If you haven't got a letter saying you've got permission then theres no vet that can legally dock them for you.
  21. There are a couple that do them, if you're prepared to travel a little bit (you don't say where you're from in the NE), but you will need to have the required paperwork, either shotgun cert or letter from landowner.
