Yesterday saw the first of our trips down to Floyds for a spot of ratting at the end of the shooting season. We set off bright and early meeting up with Floyd, young Floyd and his mate who hadn't been ratting before, along with his dog Fenn. We'd had quite a bit of success previously at the first game crop we went to, particularly in a hollow tree which is where we started off. We must have been doing a good job controlling the rats in the previous two years we've been going as the rat numbers did seem to be down.
