  1. Cheers lads,i use him as an all rounder.Bushing, ratting, ferreting(can and is used along side a long net)dog and he has had soil on his back and seen the job through. Not saying he's a world beater at all but he's not let me down and will have the chance again this season of more earthwork, his son has also seen work in a few dry pipes and also seen the job through. As i did with my plummer bitch give them the chance and a few out there will do what is asked of them.
  2. They have mate and i'm sure they will again ,the blue i'd say comes from a touch of bull added at some time.Likes been said what goes in must come out in some shape or form, fare to say as long as she works i wouldn't care if she was pink with yellow spots .
  3. At least you didn't say a hancock merle mate and she's learning a bit of her trade on that patch you sorted for me so if she don't see anything soon,it's all your fault .

    Sad news.

Had a mates terrier go through some ice the other day, luckily he got out by himself but a few moments later we flushed a fox from cover the fox took off across the ice and we managed to get the dogs away before they followed.Never worth the risk and although a dogs a mans best buddy not worth risking your life for, thoughts with the families of the lads involved.
  9. All the best back mate and may your dogs do you proud.
  10. Can't take the credit for getting the number, got it off another site but thought it was worth passing on. .Going to support my local officers the same way as we all should do and i wonder how long before they start ignoring the calls about lurchers and terriers out in the countryside? .
  11. Just thought i'd give everyone the chance of giving the fen old bill the chance of catching some coursers this christmas by giving you all their number, now lads and lasses no silly phone calls sending them out on this lovely white christmas festive period chasing their own tails and wasting there time .Just one thing i would suggest is using a phone box, don't want any calls being traced back to any law abiding dog folk now do we.The number is 01522 522222 ,have fun i am .
  12. DnN totaly agree and it's only hard of you don't know about training dogs or can't be bothered training dogs.
  13. Here's my plummer dog(on left)with a son of his from a russell/sealyham dam.
  14. Heard they can be ok with pipes sometimes. . The words you ment are reply, bother and replying by the way and your'll find most plummer owners have learnt not to.
  15. Good read mate and you were luckier than me today, walked miles of root stacks and found nothing but a couple of unused one holers .The snow didn't help with the finding today, just covered everything and made walking the stumps a fecking nightmare.
  16. Let the ash build up a bit to get a good bed in there, used wood burners of all sorts in trucks and trailers i used to live in for 15+ years.Takes a little while to get the hang of a new burner but once sussed it ain't hard.Trial and error sort of thing but your'll get there in the end, what make and sort is it?.
  17. Be carefull shiney shovel all is not what it seems on that plummer forum you left.
  18. Page 12(won't repeate the pics)that old bin licking tin bath catcher of mine who was only 10 months old when i lost her couldn't catch a cold but when it came to game .A runner can run faster than they look and i never saw her straight lined by anything ever.
  19. Good day out anyway there mate, tried 3-4 places ourselves today and no one at home ,did flush one out of cover but he got away from the terriers .Ended up with a mixi rabbit but had a grand mooch anyway.
  20. Thompsons dog may i congratulate you on being a div of the highest order, read back through the 19 pages of this thread and look at the pics and how you can say the stupid remarks you've just put up about the shape and look of these dogs being no good and just bin rakers is well beond me.Mongrels they are(as are ALL lurchers)not your cup of tea(they'd not like you either)fair enough but mate, pants you say oh how little you know but to put it up for the world to see really is mmmmmmm DUMB!..
  21. Butler mate,i'll just say better to be thought of being a fool than opening your mouth and conferming it.
