  1. Doesnt all meat come in shrink wrapped trays from Tesco's and the like? Some people got no idea! I thought the series 'Kill it cook it eat it' got the message over quite well as to how and where the meat we eat was produced. The programmes had a wide range of people on them from 'normal' people, veggies etc I dont recall any real bad comments on there all 'respected' each others views. Just another funny. When out to dinner with my old boss and his wife she looked thro the menu and asked what fish they had, sorry no fish today was the reply. I ordered a rare steak as did her husb
  2. Anyone got a 240 lightforce red filter they no longer use, they may sell, or know anywhere 'cheap' to get one from!

  5. Just got lazy and googled check out http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/a.html
  6. Depends on where in UK you are if travel is no probs then one of the best I know is an ex Holland and Holland guy who lives in Cambs. Google Peter Frenette. You will get sound advice from a guy who has over 40 years experience in custom rifles and wildcat loads. He was probably the guy responsible for the introduction of the popular 22-250 to the UK as a varmint rifle!! Last custom rifle I saw he had built was a .20 cal it was awesome.
  7. A classic was always 'If you fall out of that tree and break your leg dont come running to me'
  8. Ha Swampy almost as bad as Arsenal lmfao Oh and for Arsenal the games big wigs have changed the meaning of FIFA to Football Isnt For Arsenal
  9. We always got 'There and back to see how far it is'
  10. Why do they rip the arse out of kids for insurance ffs some of them are safer than grandad in his 70's and his insurance is gonna be stupidly cheap compared to thiers!" Oh and not sure if this helps but was told Adrian Flux are good on 4x4 insurance dont know about young drivers tho!
  11. For me ferreting has aways been man ferrets and purse nets. Wasnt till recently that I ever had a locator!
  12. Pic now added to original post
  13. Good going mate Had a good look round our permissions last night, lots of hares about so will have to now thin them out to save the wandering dog brigade tiring their 4 legged friends Well the ground is a bit uneven now as all the stubble has gone!
  14. ] Will do mate as soon as I find my lead
  15. Chewing is natural but you have to make sure they only chew things they are allowed to furniture etc is out!! Catch her doing it scold her and then give her something she is allowed to have and say good girl once she takes it. There are loads of 'toys' and chews in shops for pups but I would go for the 'natural' stuff. As for carrying things again no problem and as has been said it will help so long as you get her to bring things to you, make a gentle game of it. Good luck mate
  16. Yep as stated very helpful lots of advice, if ya need it, and quite reasonable prices.
  17. I dont think so mate but its a big area. One of the farms is close to an animal rescue centre tho
  18. Have just helped mate repaint his white vitara. Got the paint from http://www.militaryvehiclepaint.co.uk/ 2.5 litres approx £27. Still got half left for another coat!!! They were very helpful and have a good choice of colours, we used matt nato green. Took far longer to rub down, for a key, than it did to paint! The paint is 'self priming' so very easy to use and drys real quick!! Have to say it looks real good considering it was done with a roller and a brush. Well worth the effort
  19. Well I recon the 'total' is now 54 however the few we see now are bloody shrewd! Have to give it a rest and see what 'strays' move in or find some more permission where they have a problem
  20. Jordan & Peter Andre Milking it or what!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Well we will be off after those reds again next week. Did get another on Friday when rabbit shooting (took the .223 in case!") making 51 in total. Saw at least another 4 so they must be roaming in from neighbours. Oh well its a tough life but someone has to do it.
  22. Oh 2 more of the dog men just joined in. Get a fecking life!!
  23. No apolgy needed mate banter on the topic is np when it goes outside that why bother? At the end of the day the dog boys generally dont like anyone shooting what they regard as 'their' quarry. They find it hard enough to find stuff to run at the best of times but with us getting numbers of 'pest controlled' foxes it lessen their chances even more so they see it as a threat! FFS they are gonna go ape when we start on the hares :whistling:
  24. This started as a topic on fox shooting and has gone to the DOGS cos of where we live what the feck!!! So called banter between the shooting fraternity and the 'dog boys' will always go on cos we shoot what they see as their given quarry. To each their own I shoot and ferret to nets had gun dogs but never terriers or lurchers I dont knock those who enjoy that sport. Banter on the other hand is different!
  25. Yep these were all 'hand fed' 55grains lead at high velocity I am sure same would work on welsh ones as well. Aint many foxes, regardless of nationality, that appreciate that diet!! I aint against good working dogs but we cover a fair amount of land so this is the most effective method. Strange how any posts on here with 'numbers' in, be they fox or hares, create probs with the dog boys!!
