    im not planning on papers at the moment,but if anyone who has one of the larger whippets has papers it could be an idea to bring them in the event of dare i say it,"a complaint" thank you and i hope we all have a trouble free days craic and raise some money.

    i didnt really want to get involved in this rubbish but the lot of you want to take a step back and think ,i spent a whole lot of my time on sunday trying pretty hard to get lurchers involved on the planned working dog club and after all this i really wonder why i bothered.yes there may very well be a few people with dogs that have a question on their breeding around the shows racing but that is no reason at all to slate a whole event. that after all is put on for yous all. all the shouting about some lads greyhounds on here after the fact again instead of asking him upfront on sunday. ever

    oh right you seen the videos on youtube, that are from various european countries that its still legal to do that it has been illegal here for years. In my opinion it is not much of a test for small terrier and i dont think it would indicate if its a gooden.     thanks very much lol its nice to know a few like the show, i organize it all but i have to say without the help of good friends on the day it wouldnt happen at all. db thanks for the vote of confidence but albert is a good help to the mourne and has sponsered the digging to make it bigger and better when he didnt have to bother,i personally think we should try to get on better as theres more than we need against us and our countrysports.as far as the mourne and the digging goes i hope winner is right as the more entries we get then the more support it will show, i just got a new idea,we

    I see an article on the BBC News Norn Iron site today about Mourne Mountain Rescue......is this the organisation that will benefit from the show? no little fish its the community rescue service this year that will benefit,they cover everything inland apart from the mountains.

    the whippet judge on the day wont have a problem im sure,just not having a whippet race doesnt solve the problem,it needs sorted for once and for all.

    Martin, Our attempt to split the whippets at Birr led to some criticism of you and you sportingly offered to return the prize BUT as I said then the classification that we listed at Birr was to include ' Non ped' whippets so you were quite entitled to run.     I know that this topic isnt just about your show but your show is one of the first shows this year and im worried that everyone else is going to follow in your footsteps and leave the whippet racing out of there shows to . speedy you worry to much,other shows will do their own thing not follow me,the thing with being first is i get to try it first,if it works thats great but if it doesnt then i get slated and the other shows do it different.i dont mind taking a bit of stick but as an organizer and a whippet owner im sick of all the rubbish about racing whippets at a show.theres a few on her

    speedy this topic isnt solely about my show,as i said before i cant prove the breeding of anyones dog but my own so i will grade the dogs as best i can which is height,showing wise if youve a whippet you will have no bother in the ring as the judge i have planned knows his stuff,ive my own whippet here standing 18tts and shes one of the smallest about and id have no problem running in under 21,when i said about three it meant about three people would bring papers with them.if on the day you see a dog on the start line that you think isnt a whippet then call me and i will deal with it there and

    daz can i ask what your goin to race this year mate A non ped whippetxgreyhound. Hopefully she'll stay under 21". At 8 months she is 20 3/4". She was bought to be a wee rabbiting dog and to race at the odd show. Some people will argue that it's a longdog and not a lurcher depending on who's definition you choose as to what a lurcher is. In my opinion anyone who seriously wants to compete at the lurcher racing needs non ped whippet/greyhound blood.     shane ill stick my neck out here but ill say a job well done at birr,as you knowtheres some differance doing something at a gamefair than at your own venue.to everyone else i raced at birr and i dont see the advantage of watching the line man as apposed to the lure as theres always a different delay so i think thats groundless to start with. ive had my silly arguments with shane in the past but thats all they were and i find him a straight lad who loves his dogs everyone does things different which to me is a good thing,keep up the good work

    leeview, i cant prove or disprove the breeding of any racing dog at the show,i can have my own opinions but as a show organizer i have to do the best i can to suit everyone so all dogs racing will be put in their height class and raced,we will see how this works this year and if i can see where to make it better then i will.yis tango

    from the pics i saw of the last one then one or two lads there dug the only hole they did all season lol ,but i think its a good idea and i heard twas a good well run show an i hope its as popular as it was last year thanks top hat,i will do my best for it to run well,hope to get the entries to make it interesting
