tango replied to tango's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
ill have a date by the weekend for yous, the land owner is holdin a sheepdog trail so ill be the opposite week its either the last week of oct or the first week in november on the saturday so that the lads traveling a bit have the sunday lol -
thanks for that mate,i took at it this morning and the 77/22 being a bolt action is even easier to do than the 10/22.only resistance in the trigger now is really the spring pressure which if i had a slightly lighter one it would be perfect.whole thing was actually very simple to do.thanks again

ive been lookin about changing the trigger in my ruger 77/22 rimfire.im looking feedback from anyone who has done this,i usually have a light trigger set up and the ruger though a great handling gun has far to strong a pull for me.thanks

no one in their right mind would put their own dog in the ring if they were judging a show surely. -

Ireland 32 COUNTIES CHAMPION OF CHAMPION on the 9th sep 2012
tango replied to bazholly's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
the kc race dogs are bred fast to fast regardless of looks, they again do not look like the show type whippets you would see at the likes of crufts, being mostly smaller, leaner built and are raced by weight in weight groups and out of traps, there are some good videos on youtube of some of the 150 opens.if you know me from the shows then youll know the wee parti colour bitch i have see is kc race bred though only 19lb weight can go rightly. -

not interested in getting involved in the ernie saga again lads but to answer pauls question there is a massive difference on the speed of a non ped and a proper pedigree racing whippet hence why in england, scotland, and wales there are totally seperate clubs for both and they never race against each other.a few years back non peds were getting very big so all the clubs agreed that a line could only use full greyhonds every 5 generations to keep the dogs of smaller size.if you take a pedigree whippet and stand it beside a non ped of the same height they are two totally different animals.persona -

good luck shane, ill let you know that race date when i organize it mate have a good day -
I think this forum is proof of how well the IWTF have done in the recent months, back in jan-feb time when stopend and the other lads got talking about it,there were a lot of naysayers and like here alot of silly arguments that had nothing to do with the actual fact that countrysports is changing fast and is under closer watch by the day and that there needed to be some type of group set as a voice hence the IWTF was born, it could of went like posts on here and decended into silly fallouts after a week as was forecast ,but under a serious threat these members have pulled together to the point

wnm were you not at the mourne? albert did sponser things at the mourne and thanks to him for doing so because without the people like albert the charities would get less money because id have to spend more. as far as racing ,as i said above there were no questions on the line of any race on the day when dogs were raced.maybe instead of think things happen you should attend a few and support them!!
