well fairplay where do i start,it seems your quite the expert on all the goings on at the shows in ireland.since you know every problem with everyone elses shows you should run won and it should be perfect.everyone knows who i am so why dont you say who you are,i won moira two years ago with a working saluki lurcher i beat a terrier in the final to do it at that time i didnt know the gilford lads personally.they asked me to judge ballinlough for them last year and i did,i traveled down with them and stayed in the local the night before.at the show i judged the bottom of the lead all day and th

There would have been no more terriers present no matter who was judging, terriers are falling away at all the shows. And another thing you've got to remember Toasty, nobody makes you go to these shows, it's a voluntary act. I am all for people having opinions, but to launch personal attacks on both the judge and the organiser on a public forum is just showing the bad sport you are. How many times has it been said on this and other forums, you cannot, no matter who you are, judge a dog's working ability in a show ring. Shows are exactly that, a show, an exhibition, not a working test. yes, the

The Irish Game Fair at Shanes Castle
tango replied to AlbertJ's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
Tango, Thanks for your comment - I didn't mind the stick because out of it came several positive ideas and even more positive ideas for the future. Although Ballywalter ran on a bit ( as did Mourne) due to the number of dogs - both shows enabled me to spend time, meet and talk to a lot of enthusiasts (and I mean enthusiasts) about what they want from their sport, shows etc. I am always willing to listen to positive ideas and even address negative ones! We have come a long way with our terrier and lurchers over the last couple of years but anyone who knows me realise that I seek co -

Could anyone who entered the weight pulling using a brown harness that they did not own check their belongings as it was brought to the show so that anyone could have a go and is now missing this harness is of sentimental value to its owner and he would like it returned. -
