  5. the mourne digging championship is now kindly sponsered by irish countrysports and lifestyle magazine,the competition has been set for teams of two digging a tea chest size hole approx[750mm wide by 750mm deep]the chest will have a cross head fitted 3oomm over the leading edges and these must touch existing ground level for the dig to be complete. the first team with the chest square in the dig wins with runners up being the next to finish. dig sites will be on a lottery system on entry a number will be drawn and will correspond with a dig. none of the ground will be predug so its luck of t

  7. Tango, Well done with the innovative competition and a real chance to test the 'working ability' of the owners. I would be delighted to help with sponsorship. If we can brand it the Irish Countrysports and Country Life Magazine Digging Championship and get the relevant photos of competitors and winners for a magazine report I would be happy to put up two tankards, two annual magazine subscriptions and £50 for the winning team and two magazine subscriptions for the best team of ladies (or runner up to the ladies if they win!).   12. im not singling anyone when i write this that fit for purpose shite the kc is spouting will change nothing in the breeds,eg i watched it this year to see the craic,the german shepard that won the pastrol group was a disgrace and they were all doe eyed about the thing it was about 26 at the shoulder and about 18 at the arse,the terriers are as big as whippets and that fox terrier that won the group is crossed with an ant eater,fit for purpose my bollo*ks an english bull terrier was once described as the gladiator of the terriers its like the sumo wrestler now,over weight over exagerated head a
  13. Kegs. The club have set it at €5 and made the concession of effectively free racing on Saturday and I have matched this with the two day offer. I am afraid thats it for 2011.   14. digging competition is run as follows it will be for teams of two,on entry each team will take a number from a hat which will correspond with a dig site.luck of the draw but all ground is the same. each team will use their own tools spade,shovel though a maddock is allowed first team to be able to place the box in their dig with the top stick level with original ground level wins, prizes will be double so each member has trophy each

  21. jigsaw mate if you have one of those plastic ammo boxes like the cci rounds come in take out the bit in the middle with the holes that the rounds sit in and get a bit of that oasis stuff for holding flowers with cut it to fit in the box aand push the rounds in,it lasts a good while till you need a new bit
