    First id like to thank everyone who helped me in the running of the event as it would never happen with out you,a big thanks to albert and the irish countrysports and lifestyle magazine for their sponsership,this event will only get bigger and better, just a note also from the land owner who supports the event to the full he like to thank dessie and peter for de-stoning the field,we raised a couple of hundred for two brilliant groups and a few pound to the CRS who helped with the safety at the event again well done to everyone who won and thank you for your support.

    The Mourne show is on the 15th may 2011 in glassdrumman county down and is holding the first irish digging championship it stems from the terrier folk having little else to do but show over the summer months so this is the start of a few new ideas ive put this up here as i know a few of digging lads dont bother the show section Digging competition is run as follows it will be for teams of two,on entry each team will take a number from a hat which will correspond with a dig site.luck of the draw but all ground is the same. each team will use their own tools spade,shovel though a mad
