  1. i wouldnt touch a pejaro,i have had two in this year both that have dropped valve seats!!! and its cost well over £1000 to put right and changing an engine in one can only be described as an arse to do...........stick with a disco, they are very very good offroad.(if you can drive)
  2. disco everyday.as said bits are readily availible and cheap,30+ mpg..jap stuff is expensive for bits........................
  3. theres a lad on hear that has just had a 22-250 to shoot seals .....i think you can only shoot them if they are bothering fish?? im sure if/when he reads this thread he will correct or fill us all in on the law....
  4. i wouldnt have a 6x scope again.i started off with a 6-42 s&b on my 223 and to be honest i used to take fox at over 200 yards BUT shot placement was always an issue,i then put the scope on my hmr and rabbits at 200 was almost impossible trying to get head shots the scope is now on my 22lr which it is well suited and im finally happy with it...........
  5. mate i bloody hate the stuff,i always do my best to pick the runs for my dogs but somtimes they go straight through flat out.....everytime it makes me cringe........
  6. that was a head shot at 200+ yards by the looks at it..it takes some skill to hit them..i shoot and i run dogs..what talent does a lamper have with a lurcher??? walk into a field with a lamp and watch the bloody dog do all the work!!! then have the dog retreve to hand..its funny how fieldsports are so fragmented

    POLICE SCUM

the fact that the gobby twat was a soldier has nothing to do with it,if you look at the video he was giving it the big en and then the cops went to arrest him, the wanker then bit the cop.he should of had his teeth beaten out of his head..you play the game you pay the price.....he deserved everything he got and should face charges himself.a soldier should know better and have some respect...........................................bet this ones gunna make me popular
  10. i had my cz's done for £40 each..i know a pro custom builder that will do them for £90.........all without proofing...if your rifles aint proofed you can only sell to a dealer without proof...at the end of the day you are messing about with somthing that has to stand very high pressure and is it worth pissing about and penny pinching over your own safety??????
  11. depends what and how you are going to use the lamp..........the cluson is good for smaller fields and the gate light is a good extra, build quality is also very good, the 7amp battery is adaquite......the lightforce beam is brilliant and makes the cluson look like a candle, the wiring and switch is nothing short of sh*te,and mine is greedy on power,i can use two 17amp batteries in a good nights lamping..i wouldnt be without either the 170 or a cluson..i guess if i had to have just one it would reluctantly be the cluson because we use it to check the horse's and as a general torch as well as a hu
  12. this is my collie/whip/grey pup at 5 months old
  13. no mate that unit went back down country.......this is a newer one.....
  14. Thanks, I will be using them in a pcp only for short range fun obviously, lighter than pile drivers, my main pellets are between 6.9-10.5 grain. 9 grain max in a springer and thats pushing it, you could end up with a broken spring. when we were young and not trusted with bullet rifles we would use any pellets in the quest for rabbit and squirell shooting.even used elley wasp magnums which if i recall weigh about the same as a rifle and never broke a spring...iv a fac pcp and that dosnt push a wasp magnum at a decent fps.......shocked we ever shot as much as we used to looking back

  19. its a lonely old post mate!!!! no body sells the amo round my way mate...i agree what you say about the nature of the round but when you say it isnt as flat as the hmr its possible an understatement...probably better describing it as a pig jumping over a log!!! ....hmr is in my opinion the best round for longer ranger bunny bashing and if your worried about meat damage go for head shots or get a mach 2......the feo's round hear are seeing a hell of alot more mach 2's and they are looking to be the next big thing.......the one thing i will say is i wonder if the mach2 and hmr will stand the t
  20. iv got a 6-42 s&b on my 22lr and its great for the range of a 22lr or a 4X12 mtc are good as well, dont go for the viper range the mamba's are the same glass without the crap on them...but to be honest i wouldnt spend much on a scope for a 22lr because you wont be shoot out to long range's.............
  21. woz

well well well well,i wonder if its the will shuff..

  22. im using brasher boots at the moment..they have lasted three years and still as good as new....use them for knocking about, shooting walking the dogs...very pleased with them
  23. £600 will buy you an absolute knacker...you will have axle, engine wheel bearing trouble and will end up spending another grand getting it fixed.......there is a world apart from a £600 - 2k bike........................i wouldnt waste your money on a cheapy it will cost you in the long run
  24. NO, next to no difference in performance!! They are rim fires, and heavy barrels are not required for hunting...if you want a heavy barrel then fine, and some do, down to the individual but I see no point in lugging round an unnecessarily heavy rifle for hours...down to the individual!! i really hate agreeing with you!!!!! but youve hit the nail on the head...i use an american that iv cut down to 16" and re screw cut...it handles and shoots very well
