22lr has probably shot more fox's than any other calibre,the only reason for this is that there are so many 22lr's in cerculation they will also have wounded the most fox's aswell...rim fires arnt any use what so ever as a dedicated fox round..hmr will just about do the job but its like knocking a wall down with a toffee hammer....there's so many world class shooters on thl that will claim extreme long range shots on the lamp with what ever calibre..the reality is that even with a centre fire the average will be little over 150 yards if that...if your getting into shooting get a rim fire,leav -
does anyone know anything about the air arms hi power rifles??? it is a under/side lever looks a little like a m16 i guess....are they accurate?? powerfull?? worth anything are they rare etc etc...my grandfather passed away and i have ended up with a centre fire rifle and a pair of perdy shot guns and a collection of air rifles..

id say if you are an ok shot 17hmr is ok for fox...as with most shots on bigger game shot placement is important...you are fairly safe out to 100 yards as long as you are hitting in a decent kill area.....222/223/22-250/243 are better for longer range shots but hmr will do the trick.......... -
you need to wait and see if it turns up next week.....i sold alot of ferreting stuff and i had trouble with one lad on hear,he sent me the wrong post code so it was returned to me,had to pay postage again!! then he is giving it that if it wasnt with him in a day or so he was going to have the money back off pay pal..the lad didnt even have the decency to say it had arrived......

i was reading through past posts about the release of mink,the ALF were loud and proud as regards there heroick release of these cute critters,but are these people as bad or if not worse than all the other extreme things that have gone on in the chapters of history....the mink that have been released have killed everything in there path to the cost of our native species..surely these alf do gooders should be strung up for what they have done?????????
