    They get used to it mate, obviously you wouldn't use them until the poults are settled for a good few days, and only once you start getting hammered by a gos, then use the banger. As you know, once they start, they can cause a serious headache pretty quick, i would prefer jumpy birds than dead birds i can tell you.

    Radio's playing in the pens, just alternate days and places where you put them, scarecrows, again, move them daily around the pen, the rope type bangers hung up in the pen, all methods work to an extent, but they will eventually wise to them pretty sharpish, worth trying though.... .

    Bas##rd stuff that, happened to me a good few times over the years, luckily majority of times the dog was a little too far away to think it was me,sometimes its difficult to get the trust back, especially with more nervous types,but in time you can, all the best.

    Ally checkerplate, double box, strong and easy to disenfect/clean etc. Used wood for a while, but gets shitty and also rots! .

    Sorry to hear that mate, i have been in a similar situation before myself, not great, but i wont run my dogs now anywhere near public places/footpaths etc, i had a collie whippet greyhound dog years ago, he was a heller with strange dogs, got me into a fair bit of bother on nuemorous occasions, so just saying its not always the bull blooded dogs, but of course when it does kick off with them, its always that little 'worse' to say the least, cheers.
