  1. Line it up in the scope and tell her her the fox had it .
  2. nice one Dodsey ,another one gone !
  3. ..........................but not too big so you dont have room around the rest of the pen for the "giblet" line .
  4. Find out what charity it is and approach them about it .They will not be happy that their foxes are in an area where they face control .Legally there is nothing you can do about it but it is legal to control any amount of foxes by legal means .
  5. Pleasing to see the replies agreeing with me for a change ,lol. The next question is what age would you cull?
  6. We all know there are too many ferrets bred every year just for the sake of keeping the jill healthy and in the absence of a vacetomised hob .The choice I make and an emotional one for some of you is to cull what is not needed from the litter at an early age .I understand this will cause some reaction but its 100% better than some fates awaiting unwanted ferrets, poor conditions ,unworked .If we were a bit tougher on stock in general then only a few surplus animals would live out their lives untested . Foxdropper .
  7. Nicely done .Of all the fresh water fish ,perch are probably the hardest to target ,around us anyway .Pike will take the smallest fish offered and worm is a anything goes bait .
  8. If the pad is split ,then follow the instructions .If its sliced leaving some pad barely attached ,you need to assess whether or not there is blood supply to it or whether it needs trimming off .When trimmed follow same instructions . Personally ,this only my opinion mind ,I would clean it thoroughly and pack it with sudacream then cover it with a dressing then bandage but not tight .Change every day ,cleaning with warm salt water ,dry and re-apply the cream and cover .
  9. Im afraid your discription dosnt help much .A pic would say more .IMO.
  10. Shes obviously not what you want josh .Bring her round and I'll take her off your hands .lol.F.F.S STOP WORRYING .
  11. Cubbing dens are usually dug out rabbit spots [down our way anyhow].The vixen digs a tube straight in to a chamber where the cubs are born .When disturbed, the cubs simply disappear up these tubes where NO terrier can follow without digging on .This time of year with well grown cubs ,the vixen lies out mostly, going to the den to feed them and but not lay in with them .Where theres a lot of holes or seperate buries ,cubs will be spread out .If an earth gets too smelly with carrion ,they will move to another. As cubs get older they too spend less and less time underground .Digging them is not
  12. We used to have "giblets"on gibbets all round the woods ,paid accordingly too .No matter which way the wind blew ,you could smell them . Pics been on before but its the only one I have . Only thing we were told not to hang was cats ,only because the head keeper knew for a fact it was only a matter of time before the one from the house appeared ,strung up with bulging eyes .
  13. JR x Pointer: According to a Vet Thats very obviously a russel cross pointer .
  14. The lad that s been hunting for 27 years may well have been but his communication skills wern't perfected along the way .Cant see many keepers giving a total stranger permission to hunt, off the internet .Get out and earn it like most of us have .
  15. The bottem line is that the jabs our dogs get in this country cover the diseases most likely to effect our dogs .Yearly boosters are advised by the vets but personally ,I dont think they are needed but others may disagree!.
  16. Very localized round us but some good pockets about .
  17. This is my understanding of it . As said the bitches immume system will cover the pup via colostrum,FOR THE FIRST 8 WEEKS ONLY .Jabbing a pup any younger is a waste of time as providing the bitch was jabbed the antibodies in the milk will fend off the introduced culture in the jab . After 8 weeks the pup is then at the mercy from anything it comes into contact with .Also ,the colostrum only contains anti-bodies of diseases that the bitch has been in contact with ,so if the bitch wasnt jabbed then that could be a lot or very little ?.The pup should be kept indoors or only mix with dogs that
  18. Beginners luck I'm sure but he couldnt go wrong.Dropped the sucked maggots in the margin while we had a quick bite and off it went with another good strong pound fish .Hope it hasnt spoilt him for those days or venues when the action is somewhat slower !.
  19. Your next challenge is to see if you can get him to smile next time .lol.
  20. Took my lad ,who's 8 years old ,for his first day out with a rod .Decided on a small lake near us thats teeming with carp of all sizes and goldfish to 2 lb!.Chose a light weight rod of 7 foot and a small spinning reel loaded with 3lb line .I never fished as I knew I'd be untangling him !.Baited a spot with red maggot and sweetcorn as soon as we got there and set him up with a 3 bb waggler .The lake is very shallow ,4 foot at the deep end but mostly 2-3 .Started on the maggot and straight away ,the float slid away .The strike was over the top but luckily it was a carp of 1/2 pound which fought
