  1. Any pics mate .Put food around the entrance and inside.Used to be release a few eabbutx into them but thast' frowned on now .
  2. Some old wives tales too . Good thread to resurrect though mate .
  3. As a whole hunting is better attended than ever so one instance pales into insignificance BUT for a leading high profile figure to come out with a public speech like that condemning fellow hunters is a huge step back in internal relations .I hope he publically retracts whats hes' said and that the Heythrop distance themselves from the same way of thinking and from the man himself otherwise their seasons will go from bad to worse .
  4. Where do these big cats go to die .Surely someone would find a carcass ,scattered bones ,a skull .All bit too iffy for me to believe I'm afraid .
  5. You have to admit greyman it's very disappointing for us mere mortals to read through this and more with the reasoning we will be shut up for good to find there's more evidence of life on mars than there is of big cars in Britain .Very disappointing mate.
  6. No mate .It was tame as when I found it .Had poorly made anklets and Jesse's on ,was half starved ,half needing human company I guess and I wanted to keep it .The dogs thought otherwse and barked whined whenever it moved so tough love was used to revert it' needs away from me and to regain independence .The last couple of days I had it ,it was bouning from perch to perch looking for a way out as a wild bird should and then was given its' freedom. I don't expect to see it again up close and hope I never do .Times not right for me to undertake a bop right now ,to give it the time it needs
  7. They would definitely sell terrierwork for a return to free range hollering and tallyhoing .It all came to a head with me one day when I had a gate slammed shut as I approached on the quad and told I wasn't welcome at the dig .The same hunt where I got the nickname of foxdropper and for those of you unaware of hunt history ,a foxdropper was the person who provided a fox when needed ,ready to go .Up til then rumours had it I was supplying a nearby hunt with their foxes too which was bollocks.Rumour started by a jealous so called pro terrierman .Started digging seriously from then on and kille
  8. He didnt' need to name anyone ,the fact he's tried to transfer the blame from the hunt says it all .They are the only ones with a vested interest in stopping holes . The amount of stopping and bad backfill I've seen over the years is embarrassing and all done by the hunt but apparently they blame local terrier lads . Used to be hunt mad but nowadays it's f**k them . Dug a brace on front of hounds 3 seasons ago on permission and shot both .Thought huntsnan was having a coronary when he rocked up spluttering but shut up when landowner arrived lol.I knew the whip who came digging
  9. Yep sorry lads your right was thinking I followed them to a hole but took wrong pics . Here’s the hare tracks I was looking at whilst tracking Charlie . Good job your on the ball
  10. Unsolicited emails are the bane of my life .Unsubscribe and there back on week later .That' from information sold to third parties. The old f**k off c**t reply usually works though .
  11. Got to blame those doing the booking as well .Where' there demand there' supply just don' book simples
  12. Buzzard now released free after withdrawing my attention .Flew strong on a full stomach .
  13. Anybody not affiliated with a hunt has always been blamed for their actions ,seen it many times and been blamed myself .There are those in hunting who couldn't give a f**k about the sport as a whole or fox control of any sort and delight in putting the layman down .Unless a farmer is mad keen on hunting he wants to see control not just a jolly of hooray Henry's riding whooping and getting pissed on horse back .I shoot and dig in hunt country on permission and I know my name is mud with local pack lol,a pack I dug with for years and I've been blamed for loads of things I've heard from mates s
  14. Spot on Rob .All to high standard .Only ever seen one ermine down here years back .
  15. Reducing numbers helps bring ked levels down .
  16. Just chatting to terrier lads around Durham and rattlng is hard to come by apparently so having to pay .Not saying it' the truth mind ,they like a windup .
  17. Heard a rumour lads are paying for it up north, is that true .
  18. Took mine over dealers and it went 17kg
  19. Two more I had when down with Matt Saturday afternoon . Shot against a nice rising bank .Both culls as it turned out ,, pair of followers no weight to them at all . Cheers mate .
  20. Sunday morning was probably my last look out for a doe as like most I don’t relish killing next years crop before it’s born . .stalked into a group of does sat up a hedge out the wind and settled on a youngster in the middle . Got to within 60 yards and had to shuffle out in the snow a bit to get the shot with another youngster in full veiw . . At the shot through the neck the other two were up and gone in a flash . Drag was easy on the snow for a change .
  21. Was a bit of a windup mate ,?I know exactly what they do but to fly a buzzard at prey is the holy grail of falconry or used to be .
