  1. after the rain finally stopped i took the dogs for their daily exercise locally, the route's only about six mile but it feels twice as far .there was plenty of scent about but the only thing i saw was a rabbit that jake chased into an earth :realmad:,luckily he could'nt get to far in and we moved on as it was time to head back
  2. no mate he was bred in scotland
  3. i have only seen one dog from that breeding run and it did the job, i'm not really clued up when it comes to background, lines etc, and as long as the dog can do the job single handed everytime what ever the breed it'll do for me the dog in the above pic is a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie.
  4. my mate phoned yesterday to see if i was going for a lamp, as he had a dog on trial and wanted a fox for it. after a bit of driving about we spotted one in a stubble, the only problem was the next field was'nt cut and the fox was right on the edge, luckily though the fox tried to straight line the dog and had to pay the price
  5. took the dogs out tonight for a couple of hours to see how many fields have been cut,but theres not that many cut yet,Tyke caught this fox (this years) in a big stubble and Beano and Billy had a couple of other things
  6. and bugger off out of wales too lol us toads cn give a nasty suck when angry u know pml :realmad:  <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i,m going to wales on friday,i'll call round if i'm gaurenteed a "suck" :11: :11:
  7. i know some people that use horse wormers to worm there dogs but i prefer to stick to a wormer that is meant for dogs, that way you can give the correct dosage every time without having to guess the dosage as you would when using the horse wormer.i always use the panacur dog wormer in liquid form rather than the panacur horse wormer.
  8. the hare is probably the hardest quarry to catch, roes are just as fast but not as steady on there feet. rabbits on golf courses can be a bit of a challenge aswell
  9. they must be lethal if they've killed that pig outright,i would'nt fancy running my dogs near a fence like that :11: :11:
  10. the pics are starting allready, cracking pic and nice little terrier
  11. nice pics kiwi are the front two dogs rotweilers or crosses ?
  12. if i get time i'll post the crisp sandwich recipe :11: :11:

  15. i've just picked a subaru up from stockton and could'nt believe how many corn fields are cut allready, which seems a bit earlier than usual, must be the weather ?,i cant wait to get out again
  16. spot on leveller, that brought back some memories
  17. when doubleing up the dogs are'nt really being tested and i think good fox dog can kill a fox far quicker on it's own rather than when it's doubled up i always run my dogs single handed as i think its more sporting, humane and the only real way to test the dog
  18. lucky

i've have'nt lost any yet to hawks but a lad up the road lost one a couple of week back,he told me it took one straight of the roof of the house while he was in the garden
