  1. just because you starred in biker grove does'nt mean you can ride one.....

  2. i've done plenty of walking in the past and i enjoyed it just the same but what i've found is that you can go on forever kidding yourself with a mediocre dog thinking you have something special simply because your not getting it on enough game to really test it..... driving fields gets you on the numbers and you soon find out what your dog is or is'nt capable of, most can't take the pace and soon turn out to be failures..... also in this present climate its much easier to be on and off the land and onto another area in a matter of minutes when lamping from a motor...... times have changed a

  6. i'd only want the big names on this site, then i would'nt have to work again just reap the profits from the stud section and sell the odd spare 11 pups every now and then......
  7. legends are made in the summer......
  8. i've learnt a technique when it comes to winning shows, i like to call it "paying the judge", sometimes the judges need a little further persuation this i like to call "bribery", works a treat for me....... p.s the judge had no idea that these 3 dogs picked for the final were all from the same team.....
  9. the trouble with shows is too many people expect to win... the judge can only pick what he or she prefers and they can't tell how good a worker it is just by looking at the dog in a show ring, i've also noticed a lot of people complaining about the judges choice because the said dog is'nt "scarred up" ???? for a dog to be classed as a working dog it only has to work not carry scars.....
  10. the feet on mine are perfect, he's never once had an injury on his feet, i bred him hoping to have something as game as the sire but a lot quicker, however this was'nt the case there was 3 pups in the litter 2 dogs and a bitch, the bitch was quicker than the sire and pretty game by all accounts (i've lost contact with her owner), the one i have, alf is nearly as game as the sire and plenty game enough for me anyway but he lacks pace exactly like the sire, no difference at all really. the other dog was a flying machine (for a bullcross anyway) and could catch the full spectrum of quarry with e

  21. Land Rover disappoints as Japanese cars storm ahead in reliability stakes By Felix Lowe Published: 10:02AM BST 20 Jun 2008 Land Rover: Looks good but is it reliable? Japanese cars are in poll position when it comes to reliability, a new survey by Which? reveals today. Japanese car manufacturers occupy eight of the top-ten spots, putting them miles ahead of European motors - especially the Land Rover, which came in at the bottom of the reliability table. Honda topped the chart with a reliability index rating of 85pc, closely followed by fellow Japanese manufacturers Toyota (84pc),
  22. i think the only difference is the spec, i'm sure the "warrior" is the top of the range then the "animal" then the "4 life" i've only ever had one and it was the "4 work" model and i hated it, very thirsty uncomfy ride and the turning circle was ridiculous......
  23. look at the front and back for a little green badge bearing the words "land rover" if it has that badge avoid it like the plague, unless you have plenty of spare weekends that you can use to try and keep the thing running, you will also need to locate your nearest landrover breakers (a place you will be spending a lot of time) one more thing is to make sure you have a back up car for when its off the road...... if you want a reliable well built jeep buy something japanese, not a gloryfied 4x4 sherpa......
