  1. Cracking post mate and glad he's coming good for you, the way I've been taught is always get down to a pup ASAP but listening to your opinion I think you've got it spot on...the dog doesn't have a watch on and as long as the breeding's right there shouldn't be anthing to rush about...if you get sick of him send him up here...
  2. Have you rang the dog pound in Durham Benj? That's where the strays are taken from Darlo, touch wood she shows up...
  3. Two digs from this season to the same dog, first one was 7ft through hard clay, second one was 15ft through sand but kept caving in so a JCB was needed...
  4. Evil?? If the dogs aren't staying till dug then the only thing to do is pts!!
  5. This is turning into a good topic, is there any lads on here who have bred from a bitch of unknown breeding and produced top quality terriers for generations after? I've got a good mate who has a couple of good dogs from a bitch of unknown breeding but it's too early to say whether the outcross was a success or not, depending on the pups they produce etc.
  6. I agree with what's been said, a top notch read, this book is second to none ...I believe it's the last book he will be doing?
  7. Like Butler has said we had a lucky escape today with the b*****d box reading down when the tube was in the side of the dig, we lost my black dog last season due to the shit pinpoint accuaracy, we broke through and could hear the dog further up the tube but when we got a reading it was saying 0.7 everywhere in the bottom of the dig, by the time we found the dog he had wedged himself in and suffocated himself and his quarry...
  8. My two youngsters for this season, dog on the left started very well including a couple of testers, dog on the right a late starter but had his first dig last week...

  16. Heard the same story Simoman, from what I can gather Brightmore should have been in the book for his input into the 'black' terriers...
  17. not sure about his particular bitches but as with most of the lines it only seems to be the dogs that stand out or get mentioned ???? Fair and true comment Lucky...how come from all these 'Great' lines...bitches are never mentioned? Suppose this could be said for terriers also?
