    Have the same problem on a bit perm av got public walk ways thro it some of the things av been called is un real police station is not far away a women who works there says the switch board lights up when am there they have my details and car reg now so they can contact to see if it's me before they send the local plod.

    My old man says years ago if they didn't have a ferret they used to put old camera film in the entrance of a hole set it a light and blow the smoke down the warren.

    Been on holiday for a couple of weeks and just got back so picket dogs up and headed to some local permission let dogs out of 4x4 lurcher dives straight into hedge and brings out a mixi rabbit quick mooch picked another 5 up gutted as this perm is only about 10 mins. From my house had mixi last year but rabbits had picked up pretty well during the summer headed back home a bit pixxed off about 1/2 hr later got a phone call asking if I want some permission about an hour drive away that I no is swarming with rabbits ? days still ? off about local perm tho..

    A good few year ago I kept a hound I retired from raceing he took to rabbiting no problem had to work a bit on the retrieving he didint like giving his rabbits up but got there in the end he could catch rabbits for fun and had his fair share of long ears (pre ban) never got used to ferrets but took him ferreting quite a lot but you had to watch him as ferrets were fair game to him in the end a big hob latched onto his nose and he was wary of them after that people go on about there feet but he never had a problem didint take much to stock brakein him all in all he turned out a good hunting com

    Also looking for some new permission if anybody has spare if they could also hoy a few nets, locator and out else they have spare would be appreciated wouldn't say no to a good dog as well. Lol.

    done a few like that just start at one end net as many holes as you can put a couple of ferrets in and work your way down the hedge any missed rabbits usualy run down the hedge and back down a hole so you get them as you move on any that go backwards are there for another day.. good luck.

    Had to take the beddy bitch to vets last year with them dart seeds one got stuck in the corner of her eye and went in behind her eye and one went up her nail into her toe cost a fortune.

    just got back in from haveing a mooch with the dogs 2 beddys and a lurcher the lurcher is a smooth coated collie x and have no bother with her but just spent nearly 2 hours getting them little round seeds about 2 to 3 mill. in dia. out of the 2 beddys coats do you lads with the rough coated dogs have the same bother was thinking about getting a rough coated dog so was just wondering thanks.

    Well done mate you deserve it had to do a bit new permission last week to keep them happy knee deep in nettles went home with half a dozen rabbits and covered in stings don't think awas as bad as the lurcher tho.

    never kill the black ones even when ferreting let them out the net (was told many moons ago by my old man that it was bad luck so they go to live another day).

    Had a look on some new permission yesterday after a 1and3/4 hour drive arrived and met owner showed us the problem had a walk around rabbit runs all over leading to a bank that surrounds a quarry no chance at these undergrowth was like the amazon forest also the quarry owner is a rabbit lover and doesent want them touched found a few sets that were accesable netted them up went to collar ferrets up no collars searched all over looks like they got lost at last outing 3 collars down (well pizzed off) chose a little Jill that very rarely lies up and stuck her in rabbit straight out done a few set

    Had to inform local plod on a couple of my perms just an email to give them your details and reg. of your car saves a lot of bother, I know a lass on the switch board at one of the stations I'm registered with and she says the amount of calls they get when I'm out and my 4/4 is parked up on land is unreal.

    Was out yesterday with the dog up northumberland place was lifting with rabbits but there must have been about a 100 lieing about dead lad a was with said there had been myxy about.
