  1. I remember Brough sending me ten free entry and a pint tickets; it was meant for a group, but there was absolutely nothing stopping you from going in, having your free pint and watch a race, then go out and come back in and do it again and again . The guys on the turnstiles said it was ok and I know a few who did it ! LOL ! Cheers.
  2. Brough Park does a deal; £10 for entrance, a pint, pie and peas and race card , once you’ve used this offer you keep getting free entry tickets , meal offers, etc. It only gets expensive if you gamble . Cheers.
  3. How will they enforce a greyhound racing ban ? They could close the Stadiums, but what about whippet tracks ? Most also have a class for lurchers, what if they put a class on for greyhounds ? Same with lurcher shows and County Fairs, etc; most have lurcher racing and simulated coursing ; what if they also have classes for greyhounds ? Will it be legal to race a whippet or lurcher but illegal to race a greyhound at these events ? Who will police it, more to the point, HOW will they police it ? Cheers.
  4. We said “f**k off” to the Tory’s but sadly got Labour instead ! We will be able to say “f**k off “ to Labour at the next General Election and hopefully get Reform. Whatever you think about Farage, I think the countryside and field sports will be safe in his hands ! Cheers.
  5. I mentioned this a good while ago . The Labour government in Wales is about to ban greyhound racing, how long before the UK Labour government follow suite ? The UK Labour government is already getting ready to ban trail hunting. How long before they follow the Scottish government and ban hunting rabbits with dogs ? Labour seem to hate the countryside. Cheers.
  6. There’s plenty of big non-peds about, Bob. The BWRA now has a 55lb limit, something I strongly disagreed with and got me banned from the whippet forum ! LOL ! Theres some tremendously fast non-ped scratch dogs , some around 25” and 50 odd pound. Cheers.
  7. Nobody I know, mate. They wouldn’t dream of working their finely tuned racing machines ! LOL ! Cheers.
  8. Contrary to how I wind up my pal mC , by and large, in my opinion , a coursing bred will beat a pedigree working whippet on daytime hares. A pedigree whippet will never match a non-ped for out and out speed in racing, but, again, just my opinion, will have more stamina for, say, a nights lamping rabbits. Horses for courses, I like them all and may just get another whippet, ped or non-ped, whatever takes my fancy, before I give up the game. Cheers.
  9. I don’t remember any clause. Mally was a great pal of mine and we spent a lot of time hunting up here and down his place Im sure vixen only had one litter, a couple went abroad and I’ve met the lads who got the others and judged them at whippet shows . There was a gamekeeper got a very nice brindle bitch which he was very pleased with. Mally’s pal, Paul Sagar , wanted to place a saluki pup with me but he wanted to many clauses, including what it was mated with and when, what comps it was entered into, what matches it would have, etc. I politely declined and told him he wanted a

  13. Never , ever, piss off waiters , kitchen staff, sommeliers, maitre d’s, unless your not bothered about added “extras” in your food and drink ! LOL ! Bon Apetit.
  14. Looks like the Germans have blocked any “peace keeping” troops. Scholtz walked out of the meeting saying he was irritated by Starmers suggestion. Cheers.
  15. Seen an American C130 do exactly the same during the Gulf War, in the opposite conditions. Slid across the runway on landing and one side of the landing gear went into the sand and the wingtip to dig in causing the aircraft to cartwheel and it ended up upside down. All four crew walked away unharmed . Cheers.
  16. Eastenders ??? I was thinking more of “ The Fast Show”; Cheers.
  17. When the paki who owned the tent was panicking about the collars, a lad I know very well walked out wearing a brand new Barbour Jacket. Poor bloke didn’t see a thing ! Cheers.
  18. Same lad that had it away with the load of “Waterloo Cup 2005” greyhound collars that was on the same site as us ? LOL ! Cheers.
  19. Yeah, I was right next to him. I also videod the saluki type slipped on a spent hare and killing it in the water. Cheers.
  20. One of the more amusing moments of the last Waterloo Cup ; Cheers.
  21. Shashi, the last winner, Cashells Evening, the little American bitch that did well in the last Cup, Cheers.
  22. Airgunners dressed like SAS snipers….. Cheers.
  23. I never slag a dog. One man’s cull is another man’s pride and joy. If the dog keeps you happy, who cares what others think . Cheers.
  24. Who said you should pack in ? I’ll take a hare or roe any time of the year if I want one for the pot. What I meant is there’s a close season for shooting but as it’s against the law to run them with a dog, we have no close season. Dont make everything about you, there are others who run hares you know ! LOL !
